I reserved this Limo service (Dail 1 Limo) on May 19th for a pickup at my residence on Saturday May 21st, and going to JFK Airport. Reservation was confirmed and paid for via their website. The driver picked us up that morning and took us to the airport and everything seemed great ! While retrieving our bags the driver told us that we needed to pay for the service in cash. I told him that this was pre-paid through the reservation website and was told that the card info taken was only a hold to guarantee the reservation, and not to pay for the service... "No charges were processed". Of course I paid the man and we started off on our travels.
After some thought I decided to check with my bank, and found out that indeed the charge was processed through my bank. This is when I discovered that I had now paid twice for this service. I called the Limo company and explained what had happened and they argeed to process a refund right away. A week later when I returned home I found that no refund was made. I have now called the company 11 times and gotten 11 different answeres, but still no refund.
I have emails from them agreeing to the refund, emails stating the date that the refund was initiated and emails stating the pending refund date of completion. All of which have come and gone, and still no refund. Everytime I have called them to followup on this issue I have been told that for one reson or another things were delayed and it would be done right away. Finally I got frustrated and threated legal recourse and was told: "Go right ahead, turn this over to a lawyer" and he hung up on me !
This was not for alot of money, $84.24 to be exact but it's now the principal of this company ripping people off. I can only imagine how many times they have done this before ! BEWARE ! This company could care less about their reputation.
