My rating negative infinity. the owner is robert (bob) anderson. on the caller id his business comes up IND HOME TUBS. he also has the following LLCs: Detroit Kitchen Refacing LLC; Detroit Awnings LLC he is sick. i have a 97 yr. old grdma. i need to get things fixed for the house. i told the jerk he would just be dealing with me. he diagnosed the problem via the phone. he was ok on the phone prior to going to my grdm's house. at her house he was evil to me. he said "yea, the walls r bad in the shower. i already told u that over the phone". i asked him 2 questions nicely. he was a total AXX in response. he said "i thought ur grdma was going to be the difficult one, instead u r the bad one".
he starts talking to my grdma about doing a very expensive deal. i told him not to talk to her about that topic. she doesn't have the money for that renovation. i told him he needs to just talk to me. he says "no, i'm talking to ur grdma". told him "get out of the house now and i'm calling the police". called my grdma and he didn't even leave right away. he hung around for quite awhile. in fact, he stayed around enough to give her a sales presentation. he was hoping she would whip out her credit card, sign a contract, get a ton of money from her, etc. he is a scammer, evil, a pompous jerk, and a condescending jerk. the guy is sooooo stupid. he could of got work from me. if he would of treated me like a human being. instead he wants a bigger sale. he wants to take advantage of a 97 yr. old woman. he decided after 2 mins of small talk with my grdma that she was in perfect health.
so, he admitted he was a jerk to me. his reason - cuz he thought he should be selling to my grdma. yea, he wanted to take advantage of a 97 yr old. he will say "she didn't tell her grdma i was coming". yea, my grdm has issues. it NEEDS to be fixed, but she doesn't want it fixed. my grdma is in denial about it. i didn't want her nosy neighbor to be present. that is why i didn't give her notice. prior to initially calling the guy i saw that he is listed with the BBB. the one complaint is correct. the BBB doesn't do anything to a bad business. the BBB just sends e-mails back and forth (from consumer to the business, vice versa). DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING! i'm sure the nice owner will say some huge lie in response to this posting. he does that constantly to try and save his "TRUE" reputation.
Until I gave them a poor review online. When I refused to take the review down (was an honest reflection of my experience with the company) Bob refused to honor my warranty. The tub looks worse than when they started and I am out $400.
Detroit Tubs charges more than their competitors, but I went with them for a bathtub reglaze after Bob Anderson, the company owner, gave me a great spheal on how the process and materials they use are better. But the guy sent to do the job was not very knowledgeable on the product or process and, when he finished, there were streaks, missed spots, and unevenness on a good portion of my tub, and not to mention glaze paint all over my bathroom floor, fixtures, etc. When I called Bob to explain the issues, he agreed to come out with the worker to see for himself what had happened and assist with the fix (the guy who did my tub originally admitted he was fairly new to the industry).
That didn't happen, the guy who did my tub before came back, but no Bob and my tub didn’t look very good after the second attempt either. At that point I posted a customer review online, expressing my dissatisfaction with the company and process so far. Shortly after I posted that review, the tub glaze started bubbling up and coming off in chunks.
I called Detroit Tubs to have them come back a third time, after spots on my tub started bubbling and peeling again. The company owner, Bob Anderson, was nice enough at first, saying that this happens sometimes, we were covered under warranty, and they would come out and re-do the job from start to finish. Then Bob read my online review, posted before I called on the warranty issue. He asked me to remove it, but I declined, as it was an honest reflection of my experience with their company so far. After that everything changed. Bob declared that I caused the damage and voided my warranty due to "self-scratch and feet impression" (apparently you are not supposed to stand in your tub?). But I did not void the warranty; I gave the tub more than the recommended dry time and did everything else as instructed by Detroit Tubs. The tub was never prepped properly before glazing and the glaze is not adhering. If I would have removed my review, Bob would have honored the warranty, that was made clear. In no way should a customer review dictate warranty conditions and outcomes. Bob let his personal feelings about me and my review affect his judgement on my warranty and that is not right! As of now, Detroit Tubs has no plans to come back and honor my warranty (my tub looks worse than before they started!) or to give me a refund.
Detroit Tubs LlC Offers the best warranty in the business a Full TWO YEAR MONEY BACK with our 5 coat system which is the thickness of a business card. Candace took the lesser option Our 3 coat system, Our warranty does not cover customer damage, Candace's father -in- law took a nail and scratched the tub, WE repaired it a not charge, Then after we did that her husband steeped ion the tub when paint was wet. she if a employee of google and uses that fact to bully us into fixing th damage of her tub.
she then went the BBB who sided with us in full after we sent over all her throning text emails etc.
then we had to file a lawsuit against her and Google to make her stop her online bullying
I have 70 pages of documents to support my claims she shad lies and time to post nasty comment like this
