Just before thanksgiving i went into the Desert Schools location off of 44th st, south of thomas. Reason i went in there is to personally to talk to someone on why i am charged a fee in my free checking account. Talking to girl behind the glass wall, telling me they sent communications about the changes. Interesting, i did not receive such "PRUDENT" information pertaining to my finanaces. So all this time i have had a free checking account, having to keep $25 in the savings account. I "rented" this account for sometime, thinking back maybe as 2008. Apparently October they made changes? Is it because they were losing money in the quarter and figure, lets steal our "members" money from them as a fee and they cannot do anything about it. Like in my case, i am being stronghold on my account to be forced to leave? She couldn't be adequate with her responses, because on her computer screen it says stuff was sent and etc. I get that she has no clue to how or when if it was even sent to me, but when you take it upon yourself to do a job that above your pay grade, how is that my fault?
She gets her "assistant manager" over and tells her that i am not understanding how the monthly checking fee is working. Which is not why i am there, i am wondering why i was not notified about these changes to my account that i have with you, to where i now have to pay you money to continue my use for the "FREE" checking account or not bank with you. The reality is, do i accept these monthly fees? NO! I never gave authorization for these changes and for them to tell me they can whatver they want to my account does not make me feel safe anymore when it comes to banking. Obviously at this point i am talking to a wall, getting nowhere, because desert schools stands there ground on that they properly notified their customers. It bothered me of the attitude behind their actions, like it is what it is scenerio, because and i quote her, "WE have to stay competive with in the market".
Not only that does not make sense, but you have current customers, sorry, "members" that have banked with you for awhile, allowing you use our money in the market as "shareholder members" anf found a way to not only drive your current customers away, but have potential new customers not wanting to pay for monthly checking fees. So bottom line is this, i am forced to spend my money, or maintain a balance of $2500 or have direct deposit. Before they asked i have my money in the savings account because i gain interest on it. So now DESERT SCHOOLS switched it around so they no longer have to pay out interest on savins in legal standpoint, because now you need to maintain a high balance in your checking! I am not an idiot, especially schemse on saving money and making moeny. You are manipulating your own service to, what i believe is double dipping and creating fraud for your own customers because yo can do whatever you want.
I also needed to withdrawl money from my savings. She tells me to to sign my name. I wrote in capital letters across the screen, "F*** YOU C***S!"
Got my money and left. I get a phone call from their regional manager, telling me that i was unprofessional and that he is emabrassed to what i wrote. Then proceeds to threaten me to call the cops if i go to any locations of his and told me that i should find another bank to go to. Towards the end of the phone call, he gives me ultimatum about what i wrote stating that i should know my place in life.
WTF? Well i have my opinions on this matter, but here is the facts. The immediate turn around of correspondance from my visit to the bank about problems with my checkin account; to him actually calling me to tell i was unprofessional on what i wrote. I restate what i wrote in another way if you didn't get the point. He called me on what i wrote, nothing pertaining to why i cam in, instead of calling me about my account and finding solutions, it was best for him to make a personal agenda to call me. The kicker, after he hung on me, i called desert schools back and of course there is no way to get in contact with these regional managers.
Its funny on how the timeframe for me to get in contact with desert schools employee to my bank account, as of right now is unknown, because i have no response yet. However the timeframe for male employee to make something personal during companies time and using companies reseources to address their personal agenda is against policies themselves, is one day. Here is the kicker, according to their terms of service, they are suppose to "postal mail" me a letter about the changed about the account, it does not state online banking. Their own terms are not updated, therefore they not only violated their own terms, but they dont know what they are doing there!
From a bank that can do whatever they want because i agree to it by using the account. I must have surrender my rights in the process, where not only they can dictate on how/when to spend my money, but tell me what is up in life? Oh so because you can do whatever you want under the terms of service i agree to using your services, that the same terms of service does not apply to me. Very confusining on policy.
I want answers! Its like its easy for me to pickup and go to another bank? From my account being used for that long, i acquired recurring transaction. The choice should be mine, not yours.
I am staying quiet about this. To the point of going back to that same location and demand to speak to the bank manager to get answers. This not only is violation of my civil rights, but they also violted their own terms of service, stole my money without my conesent, threaten me of calling the cops to get me thrown in jail; all because of what? I wrote, "F*** YOU C***S!" on a screen, not only i never said anything to the employees, i wrote it on a digital screen that you told me to write my signature. In fact you enabled the situation there.
I was results, i want compensation, i want the parties involved TERMINATED! Especially that regional manager, such big man behind the phone. What am i suppose to do, allow this to happen and not live my life because i am being told how to use money now after so many years of it being free?
I want to add and side note, in regards of desert schools. I do online banking, making check deposits via the app. I still never got any notification from that. I bring that up, because desert schools does not own that application. It is a third party, so even though they secured, it really is not if it is going to a third party. I had issues with depositing, where erros would come up because i could only make so many deposits and could deposit so much($) during the business week. So if i have a check that $1500.00 and i have another one for $1000.01. The $1500 wil be desposited, but the $1000.01 will not because it goes over the $2500 deposit limit. Yes that actually happened to, but not my a penny, but by likea couple hundred dollars. I was forced in a position to have to go to their location to make a deposit, because there is restrictions to my banking.
I know people have bad experiences and unethical business practice perform on them, but this is different. This is violation of just being an american citizen, in other words i am being discriminated for being an AMERICAN at desert schools.
If you want to follow up with me on this, i want to bury desert schools. I am not looking on wanting to get rich, but dont get me wrong who does not like money. I am in it for taking my country back! We the people, not you the government/corporations. Businesses that perform unethical practice to make a profit should heftly penalized putting the in position of losing the business if they dont make changes. Honestly money is the keyword out of this country, so why is it different for consumers when they want to get paid for your mistakes? Another case a business that decided to grow to make a market for themselves, but now are making more money than the did before cannot handle it, making exucse to reason of their failures is that they have too mnay customers.
