Derm Essence Face Cream Reviews

This company offers a trial period as long as you pay shipping. There is verbage all over the website about 30 day trial. but when you order there are pop up boxes asking if you want more information about a product, you can only click yes and bam all of a sudden you are automatically paying for three products instead of one. Since I am only paying shipping and can cancel within my 30 day trial, I think, ok what is a few extra dollars.

It doesn't end there...Not even 16 days later my bank account is being charged $200!!!! Thinking there must be some kind of mistake I call customer service. On the phone I am told it is a 14 day trial or I am charged full price. WHAT?!?!?!? news to me as I saw 30 day trial on all of the internet verbage. I thought I was well within my window to cancel and it turns out even if I haven't recieved the product I still get charged. This is the complaint email I sent to the company regarding my customer service experience.

As one of what I assume many people negatively affected by your trial period I called customer service today to see what I could do about $200 being taken from my account. I received by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I work in food service and customer service jobs and know what it takes to help come to a resolution with an unhappy customer.

The first man I spoke to was so rude I hung up and called again to get another customer representative. The second time I called I was connected with a young woman who was (if you can imagine) worse! She talked over me several times, did not listen to my concerns until I asked her to, when I asked for a supervisor (four times) as she talked over me she affectionately told me "there ain't a manager here". This woman was condescending, rude, and clearly just trying to get through her very obvious "scripts".

I have worked telephones too and let me tell you, it's a hard job and often frustrating but that is not to be taken out on the customer. So as you can probably guess now I feel that not only was I scammed and ripped off (as I thought the trial period was 30 days) but I am now horrified by your customer service. I will not be advocating a company that doesn't take their customer service seriously as that SHOULD be the backbone of a business.

I look forward to your timely attention to this matter

...as you can see, this company is a total scam, please save yourself the two hundred dollar mistake and don't buy. I'd also like to add that I have yet to recieve the product now 16 days and $200 later.

Thought I was getting something to just try it. Just pay shipping it says. But in very small letters you are actually signing up for this company to take you for almost $200. That's what they did to me. First I looked at my bank statements and noticed that they charged me twice for the shipping and sent everything in one envelope. And I didn't get a chance to dispute it. But on my payday they were the first ones to debit my account for 2 charges of $93 and $95. That's some expensive skin cream. I got the number off one of the free trial boxes that I haven't even opened yet and called the customer service center. This lady right away started talking about how well the product is and wasn't listening to anything that I was trying to say. I started yelling and she started talking louder too. She explained that when I ordered for the free trial I also agreed to a recurring order agreement which I wouldn't agree to if I did see it. She wasn't helpful at all. She said she was gonna see what she can do about it. She put me on hold for about 5 min and came back on and said we are canceling your subscription and is there anything else I can do for you? I said I want my money out back in my account. And she hung up.

I filled out a survey on-line, supposedly from our internet provider - they actually used their Logo - and then was instructed to choose a skin-care item from the screen as a "prize" for duing the survey. I had to give my credit card # to cover shippnig costs. About 2 weeks later we noticed, in checking our credit account, that there were 2 charges for Face Crean and Eye Serum, for $94.95, and $93.89 respectively. I called the number listed and was told that it was a 14-day-trial deal and since I had not cancelled, I was charged the full price. (I had received 2 products).

Several weeks later, when we received our credit statement, there were two more charges, listed the same items and same prices. We had received 2 more products; the first package was damaged, and the second I wrote "Refused - Return to Sender" on it. I again called, but was told the same, that since it was a 14-day trial period, and we had not cancelled, they could not return the money. They said it was company policy. I had not seen anything on the survey indicating that it was on a trial basis. I cancelled at that time, but have not received any refunds, even on the item I returned.

Very deceptive! And outrageous prices for 1 oz. containers!

I paid shipping on a trial product through a web site that popped up. I was not told I would be charged for the product or how much it was. The took money 5 days after I got a sample of skin creme and anti aging eye repair serum. Charge was $94.95 on 12/ 21 and $93.98 on 12/23. I called the number on the bank statement. They refused to refund the money until I sent back a jar weighing 1 oz and a pump bottle weighing 1oz. They did give me a return address and authorizition after I threatened to call the attorney general and report them to this web site. This is still outrageous. I did not authorize them taking any money out of my account. I have terminal cancer and that's all the money I had.

This company has shady practices. They enroll you for a "trial period" of 14 days then charge your credit card $100 for the products and continue to do so for months thereafter. The terms are very hidden and consumers are not clearly made aware that this will happen. Upon contacting them they would not accept a return of the products and only after arguing with them did they concede to a partial refund.
