Not a certification course, not the way to learn, waste of time, no hands on training, no training with patients, you will not feel comfortable treating patients after finishing this course. It was much too short, and even worse than a “crash course”, this was a “crash, online, abridged, get it done quick” course. I wanted to save time and thought an online course might be the best option. The entire course was not only a waste of money, but what I got out of it was not worth my time, money, and I still need to attend a real course. Online Training is not the way to go, and the Katz course totally was useless as well, overpriced and under delivered. Dr. Katz seemed to be more like a con artist than an Aesthetic Practitioner. He is not the inventor of Botox which is his main claim to fame and lists this as the primary reason why his customers should take his course. He is great at networking and is skillful enough to have his name as a member with different medical organizations, patents, and other entities, but the inventor of Botox? Sorry Dr. Katz, don’t think so. Even still, having a patent clearly does not mean he is qualified at performing Aesthetic services, as I have learned now.
I would rather learn from an experienced plastic surgeon or at least someone with experience in Aesthetics. More importantly than that of course in the training. I was completely dissatisfied with the overall method; the model they provided was useless and cannot replace injecting a human. The online interaction was substandard and the material and information I received was nothing more than what I could have found on the internet free of charge. My advice to other physicians is to either attend and seminar or, search the internet for videos and other free resources. There are plenty out there. Do not get lured into thinking you are taking a certification course just by signing in to his online training.
