Dental Implants NYC Reviews

  • Jan 5, 2016

In 2015 Dr Zahler provided me a treatment plan for implants. He then proceeded to collect payment for the treatment. 5 dentists and almost a year later he had not delivered on the plan. His work is pathetic and incompetent. Implants fall out , are placed at an angle and too close to teeth. He promises lab work though never delivers. He promises your work will be completed promptly though motnhs later you still are no closer to completion. He does not keep accruate records and seems more interested in extracting teeth and charging more. The conga line of dentists thru his office all require a new CAT scan which costs a few hundred $. They all leave when they find out he was de-reregisted in Florida, bankrupted and refused a dental license in PA.

His partners Dr Abraham Henoch and Bob Harris appear in on the scam also.

Zahler is a complete fraud. Stay away from Dental Implants NYC and if you are a patient then get out asap.

There are many disgruntled patients and Zahler has complaints logged against him in NY also.

Last January they had a special for dental implants at $999.00 dollars. I went there for a free consultation and I saw Mark Zahler(I wish his name was listed on the website). Went there, got a a free consultation and he says "yes we can do that and let's also throw a whitening there for free "(which I found very unprofessional). I went ahead and wrote a check for $5,200 under some phantom company and the reason why I say it is because this company's name is nowhere to be found. I went back a couple of months later for an unrelated dental procedure then a couple of month laters the date to start my dental implants procedure came. I went to a new office, keep in mind that he's already moved to 3-4 locations, that was a big red flag. When I went to start my dental implants I go into the room and I see nothing; No implants, no temporary crowns, nothing. He proceeds and takes another X-Ray and says that now there's a problem. I need a very costly procedure to lift my bones because I'm not suitable for implants (of course he already had cashed my check)

So now I'm crushed. And also suspicious as to why now? Why didn't you tell me this before? I wouldn't have handed the money, specially when you say it takes a very long time for the sinus membrane to be that low, that that just usually happens in old people, He says I was too young and this doesn't happen from one day to another. He then said he was going to refer me to another dentist for a consultation. That same week I get a phone call from his secretary to make an appointment with another dentist who happened to work with him (very convenient). I thought about it and since nothing was started I texted him saying we won't do any implants anymore and he can keep a small amount of money for a procedure he did on me (unrelated to the implants) and he texted me back giving me his email address and telling me to put down how I paid.

I emailed him and the only thing he asked was if I paid with credit card or check, after that he never answered again. I literally begged the guy for my money. I had made an appointment overseas for septemeber 20th and I requested my refund in the beginning of August. He didn't bother. I was suspicious and I went online and looked him up. When I found this guys record my heart sunk. The things he has done to other people are inexplicable. Then I inderstood why he had asked me how I paid because he knew if I paid with a credit card the bank's lawyers can fight the money but since it was a check he thought he had a free pass. I contacted the BBB and he didn't answer their phone calls nor his letter. I also reported him to the attorney General health bureau and again, no answer. I emailed him requesting my dental records and that's when he answered after almost a months of me emailing him and not getting any answer. He them says that he wants to pay me but he doesn't have the money, I was like really?. How do you spend others people money? How do you run a business without no funds?

Long story short I'm suing Mark Zahler through small claim courts. I sent a certified letter requesting my records and it fell on deaf ears. This guy has no regard for the law. I need to get my procesure because of health not cosmetic and this guy refuses to return my money. A lawsuit through Small claims court doesn't bother him because this guys has nothing on his name, that's why he made me write that check under some phantom name. I can't believe I have to go through this with a healthcare provider, specially when he already lost his license in Florida for scamming people and also malpractice. He also had applied on Pennsylvania in 2013 but was rejected due to his terrible record in Florida. The mental stress this guys has put me through is terrible. Small claims is just the beginning. If he fails to pay me I will take further legal action and hire a dental expert which my attorney has adviced me to. He won't get away with it.
