I responded to an ad on craiglist for a shipping clerk. Seemed ok but was a little wary. So I proceeded with caution. I filled out the information she needed with the exeption of my DL and SSN. After that she sent me an email stating that I got the job and a contract for me to sign. It tells you what to do and how to contact the company in CA. It also tells you how you will be paid and how much, also that you will be on probation for 45 days and after that you will receive a salary with vacation time. So I signed it and returned it.
A week later I received my first package in the mail. The next day I was sent an email telling me to pick up several packages from local stores. So I did. Every email from her told me to go pick up ASAP. In the contract I was told that I would be paid after 20 days. So after the 20th day I requested payment because they hadn't sent it to me yet. She said she would contact the finance department and let me know but that I needed to go pick up another package ASAP at a local store. So I did. She emailed me the next day with a shipping label. But since I had not been paid yet, I told her that I was unable to mail out the package because I had no more gas in my car. I needed to get paid so that I could put gas in my car to mail the package out. So that day I received $510 in my paypal account. She then called me back and asked me to ship it out. I did.
The next 20 I received and shipped again like I was suppose to. But when I requested payment again, nothing. So she called again to see if I could go 30 miles away to a local shipping company and pick up a package. I did but did not let her know that I received it. She emailed me and asked about it, I replied and said I'm still waiting to get paid. That day I received $200 in my paypal account. Since I was off my probation, I emailed and made sure that the next payment would be the full amount. She emailed me back and assured me that my next payment would be made on the 27th of Sept. Well the packages and locations of pickup were getting further from my house. Which for the money she was going to pay me, I had no issue with. My husband works for the govt and is not going to get paid on the 1st of Oct because of Govt issues. So I emailed her on the 23rd of Sept asking if I could get paid so we had money to pay bills. No response and nothing since. Every email I have sent out has come back to my email with delivery failed. Fortunately for me, I still have some of the packages that she has not had me send out. I have request payment from her on paypal. If she does not reply back within a week with payment I will sell the stuff I have for payment.
So If anyone does get into business with her or this company, keep the packages until you get paid. The website that she had me going to is no longer working.
