My Family has been at Dr. Bob's for a long time. Not any longer. It's too bad, because I really liked Dr. Bob - but he has turned out to be a wolf in sheep's clothing. My wife over the years has had allot of issues with her teeth. Made us wonder.
Last year I went to another dentist out of town (because of work) and the hygienist and dentist both asked me if the same dentist did all the work on my teeth. I wondered why. They showed me in an x-ray gaps between my crowns and the teeth the crowns covered. The hygienist could fit a tool in the gaps. Those teeth were rotting from the under the crowns because of the gaps and had to be pulled. After I told my wife abut this, she went to another dentist. She didn't tell them about my problems or her suspicions. They too were appalled at the very poor shape of her teeth and she had these crown gaps too!! New we need $1000s of work done to fix your work!!
Yesterday I went to my new dentist.
He was redoing a bad filling and was preparing the tooth for a new crown. Once he got all the old filling out, he discovered decay UNDER the filling. He said that all the decay had not been removed before being filled the last time (Dr. Murav's work). This tooth was next to a tooth with a bad crown, a crown that has gaps, more of Dr. Murav's work. While my new dentist was finishing up, I felt something go down my throat. At first I thought it was gauze and told my new dentist. But they had counted all the gauzes.
It was the crown that Dr. Murav had made that didn't fit right!! It just popped off my tooth!! It didn't have enough contact with the top of the tooth when it was glued on!! And doing work on the tooth right next to it caused the crown to come off!!
So my new dentist had to remove the decay that was under the crown that developed because of the bad crown. He put a metal cap on it and I need to come back in two weeks to have a new crown put on.
Dr. Bob and staff: How come you let us leave your office without fixing this stuff? The gap problems were so obvious to other dentists/ hygienists, how could you not notice the shoddy work? I can only assume that either you knew and didn't fix the problems on purpose, or you are totally incompetent.
You know, if you take your car to the same mechanic and you don't know much about cars, how would you know if the mechanic did a good job? If you go to the same dentist for years how would you know if he did good work? You wouldn't until went to another dentist.
My family will never be back and I am warning my non-immediate family to stay away!!
