DayStar Solar Systems, LLC. Reviews
Beware of this salesman
Jerry Wenger knows what to say to make a sale. Daystar installed our panels in 2018 and I had to wait approximately 7 months for them to turn it on and it was a back and forth ordeal between Daystar and the electric company - each person blaming the other. In the meantime, I was still paying $250/month on my electric bill. Once they turned it on, it was working fine for another few months until I received an “error” message on my panel. I’m told I have a faulty inverter and am still waiting for him to send a person to fix it. He makes every excuse why he can’t send someone out. “There’s snow on the ground”, “We have a huge job and can’t release anyone right now”, “one of the tech’s wife is in the hospital” (I guess no one else is able to come out?) etc. When they wanted my $27,000, they were at my beck and call. Now that I need them to fix their warranty work, they dodge my calls. Before all this chaos, I referred them to my cousin and she’s having issues with her system also and guess what? He won’t bother with her either. He’s your best friend until he gets paid.
Jerry Wenger is a thief. Do not do business with him. I am a single mother with an Autistic son and he preyed on me, He is a special kind of thief to do this to someone like me, in my opinion. I cashed in my retirement savings because he promised that I would save THOUSANDS on my electric bill with his solar panels.
He gave me one exuse after another as to why the installation was being delayed, but always promised that he would have my project installed as some future date. Guess what, he never installed it and stopped returning my calls, now I'm out over $50,000. THere is a special place in hell for someoine like him.
Jerry Wenger was referred by a seperate marketing organization that eventually ended up defrauding our company as well. Jerry seems to have other reports for a similar scam on this site whereas he takes other people's money and doesn't deliver. what he says he can.
Jerry enticed our engagement with the offer of procuring cheap solar panels bought in bulk through legitimiate manufacturers. He consistently emphasized the urgency that money was sent to him for a deposit on modules. When a purchase order was signed and money was wired, Jerry on multiple occassions would tell us that the inventory stock was bought up and that the money which was supposedly escrowed was safe but he needed to go to another source. Eventually, being fed up with his excuses the money was requested back. He notified us that he was A) keeping a percentage as "commission" for a job that wasn't completed, and B) that he had wired the majority of it to a documented felon (Damon Fadale). After this was announced he became cagey about answering e-mails and phone calls. Jerry also has a colorful past with these sort of confidence games if you look into the public records which we unfortunately found out late into our current ordeal.
Jerry has used excuses to slow down his supposed willingness to wire the money which included "not working during jewish holidays" (the week of rushashana) being his most creative amongst a slew of other that I don't think I need to go into detail here. The man is a crook through and through. He also works through Aztec Renewables and lord knows how many other organizations to perpetuate these schemes.
