BAIT AND SWITCH -- BUYER BEWARE!!

Don't do it! Sadly, we fell for Ted Piper's "bait and switch"

We negotiated in good faith for a 2016 RAV 4 XLE with Convenience Package, for an OTD price of $28,195. The second highest was AutoNation Toyota Las Vegas for only $100 more.

We were calling from California, and helping a friend in Las Vegas. Our Las Vegas friend does not speak English very well, and comes form a country which does not question those in authority (this is an important fact).

After several conversations, Ted confirmed the pricing specifics by email.

When the time came to purchase the car, all our friend had to do was to fill out the paperwork, and drive away with the car.

It was only later that we realized that the car she drove off with DID NOT HAVE the Convenience Package (list approx $2.1K). When asked why he would sell us a car without the Convenience Package when ALL of our conversations clearly specified this requirement, Ted's response, to say the least, was unsatisfactory.

Foolishingly thinking he was still "a nice guy", we wanted to undo the purchase and get the car originally intended with the Convenience Package. Ted said this was doable. Ted then proceeding to exercise us by getting us to have AutoNation confirm in writing that their low pricing was valid. Making us believe that he would still do right by us, we did so. Ted still kept stringing us along, and after lots of conversations, and giving Ted the multitude of information he requested, he finally admitted that he wouldn't do anything for us.

Ted baited and switched product on us, strung us along afterwards, and had no intention of doing right by us. SO STAY AWAY. These guys are classic car dealer scumbags!
