This business has zero customer service. They overbill for appointments, probably attempt to file false insurance claims, mark up inventory by what seems to be 200% and I imagine the owner is inexperienced,unprofessional and perhaps desperate for business. I’m planning to use .
Filed insurance claim for reimbursement on services that were not authorized and were unethical (family members). Insurance was not aware of company filing until notified. Policy is not to bill for services to family members yet darling eye center has falsely billed family members repeatedly. Owner leaves fake reviews and would not respond to bbb complaint.
In 2017 I needed new glasses. I went to darling eye center at 576 William Hilton parkway on Hilton head island SC and saw Catherine darling asbrey -optometrist. She was 45 minutes late for my appointment and rushed through exam. She showed me the most expensive frames and I bought a pair of nautical frames. I was told that my insurance would cover the single lenses only to be billed $560. I contacted business and they refused to work with me (informing me they had not checked my insurance ahead of time.). Highly unprofessional, over billing clients and piss poor customer service. Owner is a scam artist who promises discounts if you leave her positive reviews. Run don't walk from this business.
