BUYER BEWARE: I thought I had done my research before deciding on this company to make my dress. There were mostly good reviews and only one bad one captured on the BBB but is literally identical to my experience. I figured one bad review, might have just been a fluke but that was sadly not the case. This company will scam you. They will reach out a month before the dress is supposed to be completed needing more time and money (over 33% more than agreed upon) and will not send you pictures of the dress or tell you how far along they are in the process or specifically what the money will be spent on. I asked questions similar to the items above to breath some transparency into the situation. I was met with rudeness and sarcasm. I've never been spoken to the way Correy spoke to me. He informed me that him requesting an extra $600 was a yes or no question and not a big deal in terms of money. He would not tell me how close they were to finishing or where the money would be spent or send me pictures of the dress. I could only conclude they needed more money because they had not started my dress and needed the extra money to overhaul it. They also wanted to tack on an extra 8-10 weeks to complete it which put me at receiving the dress only a couple weeks before my wedding. I also CC'd my mom on every email and they left her off in every response and would not respond to anything she said even though she was the one buying my dress. Correy and this company completely ruined this experience for me and now I'm out $700. Please take this review seriously as well as the other negative review here. Do you really want to risk working with these people? Legal action has been taken. I honestly never leave reviews but I do not want anyone to experience what I have so close to my wedding. This company operates on false promises and condescension. I was between this company and Anomalie and I wish I had gone with them. If your second guessing using Darius Cordell, I strongly suggest just speaking to Anomalie. They have 100% guarantee and return policy. Darius Cordell will say they have a return policy but I am proof that is not the case. They will also give you a discounted quote to entice you to go with them (which is why I did) but then they will say because you received that lower rate it will not be made to the standard agreed upon. Again I've never been spoken with such disrespect or disregard for the importance of the process. I just wanted to get what was promised in the amount of time we agreed at the price we agreed and to be spoken with the basic respect every person should. I would entertain Darius Cordell responding to this saying this is not the case in which I will be uploading the email thread as well as the letter sent from my lawyer that has gone unanswered.
Absolutely the worst experience with any kind of business. Had i only google searched for their reviews and found information on the company via the better business bureau, local yahoo, would have saved myself the heart ache, a $1250 deposit and maybe had the time to find a dress before my wedding. These reviews are all similar to my own experience- they were responsive and somewhat pleasant and after i sent them a deposit check, they literally laughed in my face on the phone for asking simple questions about my custom dress and sent incredibly rude and condescending emails using capital letters and italics in attempt to make it more insulting.
We were in agreement that they would send photos for my approval before moving forward in completing the dress. The week before the dress was supposed to ship, they finally sent the first and only image of the replication, which was only the top half of the dress and a side view.
The sleeves had string where the original dress had lace and a floral detail where there was not supposed to be one. And then they expected me to send them the remaining amount for the dress. They said that the image was a "production photo" and was incomplete, but they refused to send me a photo of the final product and obviously kept my deposit. That left me two weeks to find a dress for my wedding- after weeks of anxiety, on top of the already present anxiety from planning my own wedding- i had to deal with the most unprofessional, rudest people, i've ever encountered.
