Mauro Piroli (Disgraced North Branford, CT Fired Cop) Now Steaing From Restaurant Patrons
Stamford, CT., March 31, 2017 - - - The disgraced North Branford Cop, who was fired in 2013 for charges including falsifying records (Source: New Haven Register 10/27/2013), is now making anti-American remarks and stealing from unsuspecting patrons at his parents Stratford, Connecticut restaurant, Dante's Restaurant & Bar.
Mauro Piroli, got booted from his cushy job as a town cop for "conduct unbecoming of a law enforcement officer," four years ago and now he is up to no good again, this time ripping off customers at his parents restaurant.
One victim of Piroli's scam said; "Dante's Restaurant & Bar is now under investigation by the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection & Liquor Control Division." An investigation which could nail the doors of the italian hot spot closed with a liquor license suspension.
Piroli, is also accused of criminal impersonation, informing "marked" customers that he has an agent from the Liquor Control Division and an off duty Derby Cop at the restaurant, in a ploy to intimidate victims of his scheme into paying the shakedown. "shockingly, Piroli also made anti-American statements to me in front of my Albanian guests, my guess is because he is angry with the system, because he is a disgraced former cop," added one victim.
The victim added; "It was my second time at the restaurant and at the end of the noght, Mr. Piroli, told me that I ordered countless other patrons drinks, and then advised me that I need to pay up, $185.00. "He told me that I did countless shots of alcohol and I don't do shots." The victim added; "Piroli had me marked the moment I walked through the door as a new customer from out of town, but he picked the wrong mark." He added; I wouldn't take him to the casino with me. If he is ripping me off, he must be perpetrating the same scam on other unsuspecting customers, and that is why I reported the scam to the authorities."
When the scamed victim objected to the inflated bar tab, suddenly, he was surrounded by three or four of Piroli's Goons, and was confronted by someone who identified himself as an agent of the State of Connecticut Liquor Control Division, when in fact, it was a person conspiring in Mr. Piroli's scam.
"Incredibly, when I demanded my money returned the money back the next day, Mr. Mauro Piroli threatened to assault me. This Mauro Piroli gives law enforcement a bad name." Said the complainant.
Mauro Piroli also refused to give the patron his itemized receipt and he only obtained the document through anonomous means.
The ripped off Dante's Restaurant & Bar complainaint added; "This Mauro Piroli pours heavy drinks, then claims that the very person whom he is intoxicating, is authorizing that drinks be bought for perfect strangers. This is the same person, who used to arrest the public for DWI and throw them in jail, now Piroli is intoxinating patrons, and then stealing thier money under the guise as a Stand-Up Bartender." The victim added; I would have given Mr. Piroli the lousy $60.12, he did not have to steal it from me. I told the authorities to give the money to the victims relief find if they can recover it."
Dante's Restaurant and Bar is currently under investigation by the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection and it's Liquor Control Division.
