I was excited at first when I stumbled across Dan Henry and watch podcasters reviewed it well. I decided to give them a try and purchased two of their watches as gifts.
The watches arrived and looked great at first. That is until you try to use or wear them. One watch lasted a week and was worn twice before it just broke. The second watch was unusable because you could barely even tell the time because of the way it was designed.
Having said that, I contacted customer service to return the second watch which was unusable due to poor design. Their customer service agent (which it appears there is only 1))basically told me to go pound sand. After much back and forth they said they would accept my return and refund the money for that watch.
During this back and forth the other watch stopped working. At this point I was extremely angry by the treat of the customer service agent and told them I wanted nothing to do with them, their watches, their brand - NOTHING WHAT SO EVER. The claimed that I broke the watch again - told to go pound sand. I had to go to my bank and argue with the bank demanding my money back.
In the middle of this "Dan" chimed into the email thread - the owner of the brand - and started to acuse me of lying and refused to do anything to remedy the situation. He even went as far as to insult me numerous times, accuse me falsely of scamming or trying to take advantage of them.
The product is sub-par, the service is absent - and expect to get into the same ball of wax as I did with this company and their products.
Opt for a Seiko which is cheaper, looks better, and will last you longer.
Lets not forget, they have no physical location - after much digging I found some random industrial zone that they claimed to be located at only to find a warehouse with no signs of it belonging to them - in fact it was a different business all together.
"Dan Henry" claims to be a "world-renowned" collector of fine time pieces - but he really is a scam artist pawning off Chinese knock-off watches at premium prices and sub-par service at best.
As any watch owner / collector knows - it snot just about the watch - but its the brand, their culture, their service - everything. At the time of this post - I am still chasing the bank to get my refund - at this point I returned both watches to Dan Henry and still have not had a refund. They are claiming they have done everything even with proof of tracking / shipment.
SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM RUN I'd give them NO STARS of that was an option put it that way.
