I had three dogs one being a shiht-tzu and two lhasas apsos. I took all three into Dake Veterinary for routine shots and to see why one was having trouble and coughing. They took an x-ray of the one and could not read the x-ray so they took another x-ray and charged me for both. Then they told me the one dog had an enlarged heaert but she would be fine with heart meds. My little shih tzu almost died that first night from those generic crappy shots they gave her. Before I found out about my other dogs heart she continued to cough. I took the other lhasa in for routine teeth cleaning. She had her teeth cleaned two years before and they were all fine but Dake Veterinary pulled almost every single tooth in her mouth and left the impacted ones and they damaged another in pulling the other teeth. I signed for routine teeth cleaning and not oral surgery. They only told me she was ready to be picked up and never once did anyone tell me they pulled almost every tooth in her mouth. When i picked her up I was pissed. They gave me two pain pills for this little dog and she needed a lot more than just two pain pills. We ended up having to take her to specialists to have them look to find out the damages to see if they could cut out the teeth they left broken and damaged. That cost us a huge amount of money but we finally decided to just leave her alone for the time being and let her heal from the massive amount of teeth the vet pulled.
The second dog died right after the other dog's teeth were pulled and damaged. She was misdiagnosed by Dake Veterinary and had a massive tumor right behind her heart. Dake Veterinary told me she had an enlarged heart and she would live for a long time with medication they forced on me to purchase from them. Then my little shih-tzu was getting sicker with tummy problems that Dake told me was a nothing. Instread they again sold me their expensi9ve generic stomach medicine that did not good. She was diagnosed by the specialiosts with an autoimmune disease. She almost died before we got her to the professionals to have her diagnosed.
The point in all this is that I trusted Dake Vererinary Clinic with three little dogs and they almost killed all three of them. They took all my money in knowing they screwed up and never once did they offer to pay for the specialists of the aftermath they left behind on any of my dogs but they surely took our money and we paid them over $1,000 for all three dogs with their cheap medicines included.
This place cannot dioagnose a dead rat let alone a dog. I would advise no on to take any animal to this vet for care.
I could give you what they do and they all leave at 5 or 6 iun the evening and go home and them if they have to operate they. come back in around 10 or 11 at night and that is when they check ion the dogs and do operations so those animals are never cared for during that time but are left totally alone. I know this for fact. No matter how sick that animal is they are left alone until they decide to come back in to check on them and do surgeries. This place is out in the country but they should not have a license to practice veterinary medicine.
Doctor Dake and his wife are money hungry thieves who care only for the dollars they can make and not the health and safety of the animal. I have one dead dog and the other close to death for two years to prove that fact. I have all veterinary specialists records to back me up on what I am accusing them of doing and that is misdiagnose dogs. Their license to practice vet care on all aninals should be revoked as they are incompotent to care for animals and the wife and office staff are out for all the money they can get from every person who has a sick dog who walks in that door.
Dake and his wife and office staff are both money hungry thieves who care about nothing other than how much money they can make off each dog that is brought into that office.
I am turning this into the state licensing of veterinary medicine and the Attorney General of my state.
