Tim Charles Austin has been given 5 months to provide me with work orders and damage assesments for damages he claimed. Typically this would be incredibly easy to provide. However, if you are a scam artist, or just a lying degenerate in general, you would obviously just play the silent game and hope that everything gets swept under the rug. Tim is in hiding, and only guilty people do that.
Dr horton failed to disclose the property line of the front yard of my property being incorrect, failing to disclose the property line was incorrect before, during and after closing on my home. Water irrigation still broken for 7 months, front yard flooding due to hoa common areas not being kept up.
Weeds growing out of control due to irrigation system openly flooding the front yard and common area. Threatening me with hoa violations due to the fault of the builder, hoa and home owner warranty personnel. I am being threatened by Kinney management over violations that are the fault of the HOA and illegal failure to disclose my property line. I am currently seeking a his attorney due to his violation harassment.
The closing of my home was not done in good faith. And my his is dishonestly threatening me through violations that are no fault of my own and I am tired of the harassment! The landscaping is a disaster, plants are dead, trees in the common area are not trimmed and hanging over my back fence. Dr horton is abysmal! Shady and dishonest!
We purchased our brand new home in 2013 and were excited about moving into a brand new home. Little did we know that DR HORTON would make that experience so terrible we regret the purchase to this day. Way too many problems with the home to list here, just a sample. Air conditioner not working, furnace broke down, windows & framing warped, landscaping completely ruined.
After many calls to the Customer Service Manager Matt Lloyd & his crony Customer Service Supervisor Joseph Kruckenberg we were left with many excuses and no resolutions to the problems that still exist. Specifically our landscaping issue that results in so much water settling in our backyard that it's like a swamp. Because of this the 16 trees we planted upon moving in died within a year.
These 2 reps have come out and mainly provided excuses as to why it's not their fault. The most outlandish reason they claim was the water issue was due to our 2 small dogs urinating. Please be forewarned do not purchase a home from DR HORTON and if you do at all costs try not to deal with Matt Lloyd or Joe Kruckenberg as they will lie to you and stall until you either give up or resort to legal action which is where we are at this point.
Incidentally we are joining in with 4 of our neighbors (so far) in having an attorney begin our path to resolution.
I am the original owner of a new DR Horton home in Naples, FL on October 31, 2012. Almost immediately i had major whole house plumbing problems. The original plumber, Tranquility Plumbing responded and relieved the obstruction but failed to find or correct the underlying cause. They performed a camera inspection of the plumbing through the front of the house but failed to find a problem.
The whole house backup recurred about 1-2 years later and DR Horton took responsibility for clearing the line at that time. Still there was no attempt to find and correct the underlying problem.
Then on 12/25/2015, there was the 3rd whole house backup when another plumber came, performed a video inspection and cleared the blockage. From a camera inspection through the back of the house, they found a depression in the plumbing "a belly" which was causing an accumulation and a blockage over time.
When I contacted DR Horton and provided them with the video proving the defect, they sent Tranquility plumber to do their own inspection. Tranquility insisted that their camera inspection from the front of the house was sufficient (even though it failed to disclose the problem initially and again). The other plumber said that the camera would not detect the problem from the front of the house.
DR Horton refused to acknowledge their responsibility because of Tranquility's findings and conclusion that there were no problems with the plumbing (it didn't matter that I had experienced 4 whole house backups in a four year period. The plumber today says that he is certain that the backup is definitely coming from the depression "belly" identified in the video inspection done in 2015. The house has other issues related to defective construction. There is now evidence of a roof leak and improper flooring that was put down in the upper story make it sound like an earthquake in the lower master bedroom when someone is walking on the floor above.
Upon searching online, I see that there are many complaints and successful awards from ligitation against DR Horton due to construction defects and other ethics issues with HOAs. Unfortunately this information was not available to me when I bought my home in 2012.
