Extremely upset about this latest experience. I have leased a car in the past w/the company and had no issues. This time around, getting the lease was a breeze. I was put in the vehicle I wanted, love everything about my car. Now Roughly 2 years later...the problem started when the new sales rep on my account contacted me out of the blue to let me know that it would be beneficial to get out of my current car and into another. He made it sound as if he had my best interests in mind, this could not have been farther from the truth.

First he began by telling me that due to the current miles on my car we should look into getting out of it soon. He began to tell me that the original rep that sold me the car put me in the "wrong car". That he would have never put me in my Volvo as they don't hold their value, ect ect. I was given the list of reasons why he wouldn't have put me in my current volvo. He gave me an option of a couple of cars to look at. I went to my local dealership and immediately decided those cars were not for me. I prefer my current car over the new car option that he gave me. He then begins to back pedal when he realizes that I don't want to do this new deal.

I am then offered another Volvo xC60. My payments would go up another 150ish a month for it. That is where I decided I am not doing business with this guy. First you tell me why you would not put me in this type car, then you try to sell me on it. Nope, I don't play those games. I decided that he did have one thing right, and it was probably time to make a decision about my current car. I decided I liked it enough to turn down a brand new car so I must really like it... its time to buy it. D&M had our lease going thru Legacy Bank. I wanted to avoid dealing with this sneaky sales man whom I didn't and don't trust at this point. I called the bank (considering my lease payments are auto draft straight from Legacy) I contact them, ask for my pay off. They give it to me. Easy peasy.

I then find my own financing thru a local bank, My bank also contacts Legacy and they give them a pay off. (Not once was anyone told to go directly thru D&M for this.) So multiple calls to Legacy for pay off amount were made. My bank draws up the paperwork, congrats you are now buying this volvo. They send the check to Legacy, who cashes it and mails off the title. Car paid off! Problem is, the title isn't signed. The title is in D&M leasing's name. D&M decides we want money. Nearly 3k worth in taxes, title, license, early term fees ect. I've already paid tt&l to my bank.

So after a few weeks of going back and forth between my banks title company, legacy and d&m. D&m won't budge, won't even remove some of their outrageous fees to assist with this. During all of this, Chad even tells my husband that this wasn't the first time Legacy has done this. SERIOUSLY? you are doing business with a company that obviously has issues with giving out correct pay off figures and you STILL continue to do business with them??? And lead clients to them for lending? Mind blown. ​

So when it is all said and done, my bank says we have no option but to pay them what they want. They won't budge, assist, do anything to help with their lenders mistakes. Nor will the lender assist. So my bank takes what I have already paid in tt&l and sends it to d&m. In addition I'm out another 800+ to pay off the rest of the balance/portions of fees. So they get their money, and fedex over paperwork to do the title transfer. Chad calls to confirm we got it and signed, I said yes and it has been mailed. All should be done right...they got every last red cent they wanted right.. nope not done.

I get a phone call today from Chad, now we have to get a new state inspection. Even though our inspection isn't up. Um seriously? His words "its only 20-25bucks" okay.. and it was only 2800ish bucks the first time you guys had an issue. Where does it stop? He was rude, condescending and I've had more then enough of this person. I told him to take it up with my husband and not call me again. They have been paid, the inspection is not up, therefore I do not see why they aren't signing over the title now. It never ends with these people.

Now I laugh when I hear about their great customer service on the radio. Maybe serveral years ago, even a couple of years ago I would vouch for them. The way they handled this situation was anything but professional and courteous. 2nd time buyer w/this company and treated horribly wrong.
