I'm a little lost for words about our Cynosure experience. We purchased our Starlux 500 in 2016 and during training it started popping up error codes. Whenever I'd call to get someone out, no one was able to get to us within 48 hours, always took a few more days and would never have the problem fixed. All in all our laser has been down 3 weeks due to Cynosure. Then, we purchased an IPL hand piece. When we tried to purchase no one could ever take our information and our sales rep actually ended up doing all of the work. Then, our hand piece went missing and didn't show up to use until a week later. Just because? Still not sure why. I'm assuming now just being not one person cares about their customers at Cynosure.
Fast forward to last September, When our warranty expired, Chris reached out regarding a service contract. If you know our laser history, you know it's been worked on literally countless times and basically, they could never fix it and ended up replacing everything in it. All in all our laser has been down from it being broke about 3 weeks all together. No one could ever come within 48 hours and never had it fixed when they finished. So when he reached out we were hesitant. He said he could get us a discount if I signed that day. I told him I had to speak with my husband about it. He said it wasn't a problem so I signed thinking that I could cancel.
My husband did not want to give Cynosure anymore money so we told them that we were not able to do the contract. That was in October. I also sent a message to Leah with no response. No one reached out to tell us that it wasn't able to be canceled at all. Assuming it was so I bought third party filters for the laser thinking I didn't have a warranty or contract. Chris reached out in January about an unpaid balance but I was way on bed rest from my pregnancy so I wasn't in the office. That's still 4 months!
Last week I received an email from finance saying they were sending me to collections! For a service contract I thought I canceled and was not ever informed I couldn't until now. ITS MAY. Now my business is literally going to be shut down because of this. Not only have I continuously lost money from my laser being broke all the time, but now I'm losing $5500, going to go out of business because of something that could have been resolved in OCTOBER. I just suffered a rough pregnancy, almost died giving birth, my child was born with a partial cleft lip, and now I get back to work to this.
I'm participating in a webinar tomorrow regarding laser business to a group of 120+ potential clients that I will be sharing my god awful experience with. The way Cynosure treats people who invest their livelihood into is unreal and needs to be shared and people need to be warned. If you google, there are multiple posts about people who have suffered my same issue! This makes me sick to my stomach, knowing my brand new baby is not going to be provided for because of someone's mistake on your end but just "cant be fixed" just because. Consequently, a tattoo chain that was referred to Cynosure actually just told me that the west coast rep Kris Huston told them he would even tell them the price of a picosure until they put down a $10,000 deposit! The way Cynosure operates is disgusting and I'm starting to question how anyone I've ever dealt with sleeps at night.
The company repeatedly sent back documents that I sent them claiming they needed something else. They claimed my signature was electronic when it wasn't. They changed required documentation twice, then tried to tell me that auto dedutibles work in a completely different way than they actually do. He said, "This is what I do every day, so I would know."
I've contacted a lawyer. They are cheating me out of $500, and the lawyer is going to cost $1,000 minumum, but someone has to stand up to these scammers or they will continue to try to cheat people out of their money.

I don't know how any of them sleep at night.
