Very Disappointed with the customer/technical service received by your company today. My husband ordered a laptop and when he got it the battery would not take a charge. He called into the # on the box, talked to a Cybertron rep who told him the following:
First the customer service rep told my husband that your computer is not registered in our system (implying that he must have stolen the laptop or that HHGregg did not report the laptop as sold).
Next, my husband expressed his concern about an RMA being inside the box with the tracking# and etc., as this is very unusual practice. The rep was surprised to hear that there was a FedEx RMA in there as well as that is was shipped from FedEx, as he said that they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE FedEx EVER!! (He said that HHGregg was not supposed to ship via FedEx, and that Cybertron would take this issue up with their distributor HHGregg soon).
Last, he told us to return in to HHGregg…My husband’s still wanted to exchange the computer, so he told the rep he will follow his instructions.
After he got off the phone with the rep, he began to pack up the computer for return. He googled the return address/shipped from address on the FedEx label only to discover that it was CYBERTRON’s address. So color me confused….in the first phone call he was told that it shipped from HHGregg, well that is funny because it was shipped from your warehouse in Wichita, Kansas. And if it was shipped from Cybertron directly then how did you not have it in your system as being sold.
So he called back in to talk to another customer service rep and explained the above…..this was the rep’s response.
In regards to the return to/ship from address: Are you absolutely sure because that doesn’t sound right….Well yes I know it is your address because I googled it.
In regards to using FedEx: Oh, we use FedEx sometimes for overnight or for 2 day delivery…..Well that is weird because we got it through standard shipping and NOT overnight or 2 day.
In regards to the computer not being registered: the phone goes silent….
At this point my husband hangs up….decides well guess I will be looking for another laptop NOT made by Cybertron. If this is the first experience with the company then what happens later. Deadly Duo. Terrible Support and Damaged/Defective Laptop.
WHY LIE?? Why lie about using FedEx, why lie where it was shipped from, why lie about the registration….??? Shady practices!!! Very Disappointing to Say the Least.
Here is a short summary of my nightmare with CybertronPC. In addition to a system that is not reliable and restarts in the middle of work, my company lost 2 rendering projects because of this in addition to counless hours of time lost on the phone with CybertronPC support.
On April 26, 2016 I purchased CybertronPC Thallium X99 from amazon for more than $6500 to do 3d rendering using 3Dmax and Vray. I started a new company with my partner and we needed a new rig! I also purchased 4 years of protection from Amazon to make sure our new system is going to be reliable.
1-On April 30th when I recieved the system I got no signal on my monitor. I called CybertronPC and after days of trying different solutions (Including removing 3 Graphic cards, changing switches on the motherboard, windows re-install, etc) I was told that the motherboard needs to be replaced. SHOOT!
I recieved the new motherboard on May13th and sent the old motherboard back. The motherboard was replaced by a technician in the following day.
2- In June we did not do any rendering with the system and used it only for post production for our old designs. In July 5th when we did our very first render, the system started to restart unexpectaedly.
I immidiatley let CybertronPC know about the issue. Again after hours of working on the system with technicans on the phone, we were told that a graphic card needs to be replaced so the graphic card was sent to them on July 12th. I recieved the new graphic card and it did not resolve the problem so they asked me to send the tower back to them.
They confirmed that they have recieved it on July 20th. The system with a new motherboard was recieved on Aug 6th. Believe it or not with the same issue!!! I was told by one them that it might be our software! It has nothing to do with the sofware! I'm using a laptop with the exact OS, 3Dmax and Vray versions and it works without any issues.
3- Finally I called them to send the system back and at least get my money back to get another system. I was told since I got the system from Amazon I have to deal with Amazon! Amazon is not going to refund me since it has been more than 3 months from the order date.
