I visited Customer Crafted Tattoo Studio on a Saturday, The owner Johnny Breaux gave me a quote of $150. He told me had business to take care of that day, and he was leaving early so, he could do the job on Tuesday.
He said he required a $20 deposit up front, I agreed, left a cash $20 deposit. Tuesday comes around and I get an email late at night from him apologizing that he won’t be able the make the appointment but, he said he could defiantly do it on Wednesday, and that he would give me a call from the shop (no problem, because I’d gotten confused thinking we were scheduled for Wednesday anyway) so, I replied “No problem”
Well its now late Wednesday night…somewhere like 8:30pm, I send an email asking to give me an estimated time (Knowing the shop should be closing soon) well, no phone call, and no email.
Thursday, I called and told the person on the other end that I will be stopping by to pick up my refund.
I was asked all sorts of questions and the guy made mention several times that my refund may actually be non-refundable. He said he will inform Johnny that I’d called, well, Johnny text me around an hour later, he’s apologizing stating that he had a late night job he’d done so he was busy. At this point I’m concerned about my deposit but, I’m very upset! Johnny says “My schedule if free tomorrow, please come then”
I texted him on Friday, asked when would be a good time…his replied “anytime” I replied “I’m getting off work, and be on my way shortly” his reply “See you then”
I get there and he shows me the drawing of my desired tattoo “it looks sorta amateurish’ at this point I’m like thinking I had expected better work so, I asked him to modify the drawing and he did. I mentioned the few concerns I had still remaing but, he started saying things like “It’s going to look a hack of a lot better once its done” and “After I add the details, it’ll look totally different” I FELL FOR IT!
We sat down, he went to work…I mean I actually trusted the guy so much…..to keep my mind off of the pain, I focused on my surfing around on my Instagram. Every now and then I’ll look over, it stated out fine but then, I’d notice the fonts he used on my text was silly looking but, kept thinking he’ll fix it.
Later, he gets to the shading in portion and he’s like rubbing and rubbing (sort of like when you’re using a pencil eraser to erase something on paper) but really hard. Then, I guess he wasn’t getting enough ink (at this point) I’m watching the entire time because he really getting ruff! Then, all of nowhere he’s says “ok man, all done! There’s a mirror over there, check it out”
I’m looking as im walking to the mirror thinking “this guy” wtf! So, I look and I return.....I’m like “fine”…….but I’m thinking in my head “just don’t touch me anymore, it’ll just be worse” Being the fact I only paid $150 I sized it up as “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR” But the, days later the sores started to come in, the ink started to fade, and every time I look at it, it just looks crappier and crappier.
So, I emailed him (pictures included) asking for half my money back explaining THIS IS NOT NORMAL and im going to have to pay additional money to have it corrected. 3-4 days goes by NO REPLY! I wrote a review on my Facebook page and his Company’s Facebook page….he “Johnny” responded almost immediately (what s surprise there,huh?)
He goes into this rant about how he never received an email and how he don’t give refunds but free touchups and im welcomed to take my business elsewhere either way he’s just fine! (why would I want you to touch me again, after you’ve damaged me).....I replied with the email screenshot)
