Culver City Toyota Reviews

This is the epitome of a stereotypical used car dealership, SCAM and all.

I sold my car to these guys almost one month ago and they have YET to pay it off. I haven't received a penny or even a promise. Despite LEGALLY having to pay off the car in 21 days, they have still not made payment, so my bank is charging me late payment charges AND affecting my credit score, for something that isn't my fault.

They claim to have made a payment to Wells Fargo, and Cal Tech Credit Union - neither of which is my bank! They're claiming this despite having received an email from my bank with all required bank details while I was sat with them. Sounds like B*ll sh*t to you!?

HERE'S THE ILLEGAL SCAM: I did some research and quickly found out what's going on. They take ownership of your car and try to sell it before they have to outlay the cash needed to buy it. Despite the fact that completely f*cks you over. Not only is it misrepresentation, my lawyer tells me it's actually ILLEGAL.

Claudia: is the financial controller who is responsible for this SCAM. She rarely answers the phone but will soon be hearing from my legal counsel.

Ronnie: Seems like a nice guy when he's buying your car, but as soon as you walk out the door he never answers the phone and does nothing to help you.

I visited Culver City Toyota in July of 2015 to buy a 2015 Plug in Prius. I wanted three things. HOV stickers, Federal Tax Credit and State Rebate. We came to an agreement on the price of the car. As we were ready to close the deal the sales manager talked me in to leasing the car instead of buying. She made me a 24 month lease deal and I agreed. Then she printed out the Federal tax credit form and advised me I would get a $2500 federal tax creidt and also printed out the State rebate application in which I would get $1500. When I filed my taxes this year I was told that as a leasholder I cannot get the federal tax rebate. In fact Toyota would get the tax rebate. Then I filed for my State rebate and was told that leases had to be over 30 months to get the rebate. So they screwed me out of $4000. When I went to discuss this with them of course they just say thats too bad, that I should have known and there was no way that anyone would have told me I would get the credit and rebate. Really? A car sales person would never tell me a lie to close a deal? I will never do business with them again and I warn all against anything they might tell you. It is all a lie. Get everything in writing.
