Cross Country Home Services Reviews
I started a warranty with cross country home services. A little over 30 days after having the company my tenant at my rental property said that there was an issue with the AC unit. I reported it to cross country home services. 1st they assigned me an AC company that didn't service my area, 2nd company showed up and said they would follow up to fix my issue they never came, 3rd they allowed me to pick a company they then denied to work with that company and fix the issue after the invoices was sent in and they stated I needed a new AC, then somehow they assigned me another company that is suppose to be their top company in my Area that company came out stated I needed a new AC unit then sent cross country the invoice. Cross country then denied my claim stating that it was a pre existing issue however there company they sent out stated to them that there is no way to determine when the leak started in my AC unit. Cross country then told me to send service records in for the unit and they might be able to assist me. That wss done they told me I would have a response I'm 3-5 business days. Once the 3-5 business days were up they stated they needed 3 weeks to respond to me. I've read several reviews of the dragging out process for months and refusing to fix issues I believe the whole company is a scam.
July 11th Sears service tech came out to repair AC. Said it is not reparable.
He spoke to his supervisor who authorized a replacement AC unit and all parts. Tech said to wait until Monday to contact warranty company if we do not hear back from them. Called on July 16th, the customer service person was as rude and ill informed as a rock. Had been sent to 6 different transfers back and forth to the same two groups.
Group 1 sent me to Group 2, Group 2 sent me to Group 1 and so on. Finally had to HANG up on rude CS person and called back. Got another CS person who transferred me back and forth again finally I got a person who said the claim was in "research" but I had to wait. Called back again today July 23, got the same run around. Finally the CS person said she did see the claim is in "process".
It's the end of a July heat wave with no AC! Looking at the reviews of Cross Country Home Services, it looks like we are going to be in for a LONG LONG LONG FIGHT!
Reason of review: Warranty issue.
Preferred solution: JUST FIX IT UNDER THE WARRANTY WITH NO FEES TO ME! AND SOON!
Yes I encourage everyone that has to deal with them to contact the Better Business Bureau and if there are attorneys reading these reports please reach out to me. What they're doing is downright Criminal and my mortgage company Nationstar is in cahoots with them as they have refused to also to CANCEL my policy... Every time I contact Nationstar they tell me to contact cross country where I'm put on hold for at least an hour at a time and then when I finally connect with somebody they say they need a "manager's approval" and they will transfer me to somebody else after 5 mins of silence the person they transfer me to hangs up on me. I have made three attempts to cancel with them this is there mantra. It is also criminal the Nationstar Mortgage Company would give them my information so that they can solicit me by phone into purchasing this contract that I didn't need, because to have them look at your furnace or water heater whatnot, would cost (deductible) as much as it would from any repairman in the phone book.
