I filed a claim through my auto repair facility after the rear LED turn signal unit began flickering on my 2010 328i, which is a common malfunction on this particular car. I purchased a 24 month 24000 mile warranty from Cornerstone United, which was advertised as being their best and most comprehensive warranty, covering almost everything on the vehicle except for tires, brake pads etc. I was notified by the service center the same day that my claim had been denied by Cornerstone United. I contacted them and sat on hold for 30 minutes, only to have the adjustor explain that lenses on the rear taillights are not covered and since the turn signal assembly is built into the taillight and the lenses are part of it, the whole thing is not covered. I couldn't believe the stupidity I was hearing, so I politely asked the adjustor to take the issue to management for resolution. The adjustor said he would and would give me a call back he next day.
Next day comes and no call, so I again wait on hold for 30 more minutes to find out that the claim had again been denied, for the same reason as before. Denied because a non covered part was attached to a covered part!!! I've never heard anything so illogical and probably fraudulent before in many years of having cars and warranties. Bottom line? Don't buy one of Cornerstone United's warranties. You will pay a bunch of money for a service you aren't going to get, they will find any nonsensical solution to deny you the service they agreed to provide. Lots of other options out there, don't buy Cornerstones!
At purchase I paid for a 7 year extended warranty of $14,000.00, When I tried to cancel I get run around, no return calls and no money back. I'm now told by Damien Jones that they are waiting on a letter from a bank, and then they will only refund to the dealership that sold me the vehicle.
This place is in the business of taking your money and giving nothing back. Do not deal with them, do not buy anything from them. If you already have, then you are screwed like me as I will never see a penny from these rip off artists and their scamming ways.
