1) I bought their software to sell eBooks to my customers.
2) Software only works on Windows which I didn't know before purchase. ArtistScope does not clearly state this on their website or product description.
3) Does not work on mobile devices - again, didn't know, was not clearly stated on their site.
4) Instead of simply stating "Windows Only" - they expect you to "evaluate" the software to figure this out for yourself.
5) If it does not work on Mac and mobile devices, consumers need to be informed BEFORE purchase.
6) ArtistScope will not issue a refund despite their lack of clear disclosure of the above.
Longer version:
Keep away from purchasing anything from ArtistScope or Copysafe.
They do not make it clear on their website that this is a "Windows only" application. They do not state "This works on Windows devices only", and expect you to "evaluate" the software to figure this out for yourself.
By the time I figured it out, they had my money and they refused to issue a refund of any kind.
Moreover, it does not work natively on mobile devices, and getting it to work on Macs is a huge hassle (you have to install VR software on the Mac, an entire version of Windows, then install the software - all just to have customers read a simple eBook).
I sell simple eBooks. NONE of my customers are going to want to do any of that. It's amazing to me the people at ArtistScope truly believe people are going to be bothered with this drawn out process.
I needed a product which worked on Windows, Mac, mobile devices. They don't clearly state it only works on Windows.
I tried explaining all of the above to the service reps at their company with a polite email. They tersely responded with their "no refunds" policy.
They could easily deactivate my access to their software (it is server-based) and issue a refund. I would have no access to their product and the $295 I invested could be put to better use. No harm done that way.
Instead, they choose to keep my money and force me to own software which is entirely useless to me.
$295 later, here we are with a negative review which I have posted on as many review sites as possible. I warned them I would do this.
Keep away from these people. They are greedy, unreasonable, unethical hacks with a total lack of good business sense marketing a product which was useful back in 2003. They are relying on your ignorance to make a quick profit.

Hope the $295 was worth it, mates!
