I am a so-called Pinnacle Professional Member of the Continental Who's Who.
Earlier this year I was approached by the company to get myself publicized for a large amount of money as a Pinnacle Professional Member. I asked that it be broken into two payments.
The first came out in May right after I had lost my job of 30 years. I immediately called the company and talked to my agent or whatever you call them. I originally asked to me refunded that first payment as well as the next one that was to be paid out in July.
I was told that he was going to a meeting and that he wold see about a refund for May and that he would go ahead and cancel the payment for July.
Well, July came with another charge from Continental Who's Who. I tried calling them but wasn't able to talk with anyone there so I called my bankcard and started a dispute since I had been told that I would not be charged in July.
Besides he never did get back to me to tell me about the decision on the May payment either...so I just went ahead and paid it.
I received a call from my "agent" and he wanted me to rescind the dispute so, "they wouldn't have a black mark on their name. If I would do this he would personally credit my account as soon as I called him back and told him that I had taken care of it."
He also threatened me by saying if I did not do this he would make sure that I would have to pay anyway.
So I called my bankcard and told them to cancel the dispute. And now I have left three voice mails at the company and have not had one of them returned. There has been no credit to my account either.
The last voice mail I left I told him that I was going to report this case to every outlet that handles consumer complaints.
