I am a real estate agent whose clients chose to work with CREFCO as their lender. We had a binding agreement the end of July, and now it is the end of OCTOBER and we are still getting the runaround. "File is going to underwriter" "72 hours turn time to look at each document submitted" "More documents requested" the BS goes on and on. They are complete scammers with no regard for their clients' earnest money loss, inspection fee loss, appraisal fee loss. It is literally the NEVER-ENDING loan processing. I think they count on the fact that before they can give you a denial, the sellers will get fed up and back out of the deal so they are the bad guys and not CREFCO.
I started working with this company on August 1, 2015. As of today, 9/30/15 we have not closed and they have not given us a date as to when we will be closing. The seller has choosen not to extend contract for a 2nd time and Im now stuck with an expired apartment lease, and this company refuse to provide us with upfront, accurate answers. Ive spent over 2,100 in fees for appraisal, inspection, deposit, etc. I have emailed Kristi Gross inqiring on closing date, her response "Im waiting on an update from under writer". Yeah right..
She is out of office, vacationing in North Carolina with president of CREFCO, Chad Turner. This company does not care about consumers and will drag their feet during the entire process. Im currently reaching out to my attorney regarding money spent. This company is a joke! They are inexperienced, and highly unorganized. I would never recommend this company to anyone! All complaints posted on Ripoff, Google, and BBB are all accurate! Do not contact CREFCO for your financial needs, you will regret it!
