A NIGHTMARE! Our offer on a HUD house was accepted and we were given 60 days to close. This company is such a joke. It looks from their website pictures they hire kids right out of college with no experience. I can't tell you how irresponsible, unprofessional and catty these people were. They were EXTREMELY SLOW with every part of the process. We were shuffled around between 6 people. Emails everywhere, confusion on their part and complete disorganization. They charged us $650 DOLLARS for the appraisal and wanted an ADDITIONAL $200 for the completion report. After 60 days and the closing date pasted we started having to pay $375 every two weeks for extensions!! They would ask for REDICULOUS things like garage sale receipts, the sales contract, title, and proof of registration for an RV we sold 3 months prior, "teller stamped" proof of a bank account we opened 3 months prior stating it was opened even though we had the the paperwork the bank gave us and bank statements.
They had our employer revise the proof of employment statement 3 times, title company paperwork 3 times, appraisal 2 times and contractor bid 5 times! We almost lost our contractor! Ben Criesher stated in an email that I still have that he wished "Ben Carson was a smarter man" referring to the head of HUD and we were buying a house from HUD! He was obviously POLITICALLY BIAS and never planned on closing this deal. After that I checked his public Facebook profile which every photo of him was him partying and drinking alcohol, even while driving! Glad I have them all screenshot since he took them down after I said to him that is not the type of guy I want to help me make the most important decision of my life! I fired Consumer Real estate Finance after over 100 DAYS IN ESCROW and no end in site! I switch to Robert Klatt at FIRST CHOICE LENDING and he got the deal closed in 30 days with no problems! GO WITH FIRST CHOICE LENDING, save yourself the waste of time!
We started the home loan process in March. After receiving preapproval and finding a home, we were given a closing date of June 23, 2017. The approval has not even been received from Underwriting. Every time I call I am told tomorrow. Tomorrow Never Comes. Most of the time the lender is out of the office or his voicemail states he is in a meeting. There have been multiple times we were waiting for an answer and he conveniently went out of the office. I've tried calling to speak to someone else for answers, since he is never in the office, and am told I can only leave a voicemail for the manager. I can never get someone on the phone to help me. We are coming up near the end of our contract extension with no closing in sight. The sellers are very frustrated and not wanting to extend due to the lender. My lease is up and here I am without a home for my whole family. I have three children and cannot be left in the dark with no end in sight. Stay away if you don't want it to take 3 months to purchase a home.
