Consumer Arbitration Services of America Reviews

  • Aug 8, 2019

Consumer Arbitration Services of America (CASA) Exponent Arbitration this company promised to help me with avoiding forclosure of my home. They did nothing for me but was taking money from me monthly. They were never available to communicate with and nothing was done to help me.

They never contacted me back and it is now impossible to get in touch with anyone from this company, it is a fraud and they took my money for services never rendered. I am out $3,000.00 that they took from me. I never heard from this company after they had promised to work with my mortgage company to resolve the issue of forclosure.

At the End of Sept 2017 I was looking for away to save my family’s home from foreclosure. I was contacted by Casa after filling out a form online. They explained to me that they would have to get a little information about our situation and then they would have to see if they even thought we would be good candidates for a home loan modification. So they determined that things looked good. I informed them that there was a letter coming about a sell date already and I didn’t have first payment for them until the following week but I needed them to be in contact with mortgage company right away. They were more then will to send off the letter to mirage company informing them that we hired a lawyer for modification plus the release form that we signed. They would take payments from me since I didn’t have the money to pay them up front. So they took their first payment the following week. Then a month later they would take another. They mailed a lettter to morgage company and sent me all the paperwork that I needed to fill out and gather and send back to them. I stayed in contact with them mainly through email. They always informed me everything was on track. Then contact almost stopped besides every so often I would get a email informing me they tried to contact me by phone but couldn’t get in contact with me. I emailed them a ton of personal information. 3 years worth of tax returns, social security numbers for not only My husband and myself but our young children. After that I would try and contact them and would just get a little update her and there. For some odd reason at the end of November I checked a old email address and the was a email from morgage company saying that they got letter about us hiring a lawyer but no release saying we gave them permission to get our personal information. I didn’t look at the date of the email. I just responded really fast that I gave them permission. 4 days later I get a letter in the mail it was wrote to Christina Root. Informing her that I had answered a email that was from October 12, and that my house was auctioned off November 1, so there was nothing for them to do. Then it said I know you’ll pass this letter onto your Clint’s but I went ahead and sent them a copy. I lost it when I got the news our house was sold a month before and we had no clue. I called casa right away and as soon as they asnswered they sent me to their finance department. They wanted their payment when I said I wouldn’t pay them they lost my house and didn’t inform me he hung up on me. We have never been able to contact them since. We never got our family home back and we had 3 days to move and kids had no idea. We didn’t have anywhere to go tell very last minute. We had enough equity in our home I could have got a home equity loan for 4 thousand we were behind when we started the loan modification. I just was looking towards helping in the future too. Ones a week my kids tell me how much they miss our old house. As they have a 45 minute ride now to and from school. My family is on the verge of splitting up because of the whole situation.

Got smoozed by Jamie Nichols, salesperson who said that the company could help me for only 1800 bucks, was never told that it would be 500 a month for as long as they could drag things out.

Paid initial 800 and got packet, Signed a release to authorize CASA to contact lender. I asked in email to confirm release and never got anything back, 2 weeks go by and I get nervous, I needed to get help with paperwork and ask questions. I reached out to Ms. Nichols and got no response, emailed the paralegal working on case, no help. Finally I call and was told an appointment neede to be made via phone M Muirhead was paralegal in charge of case, finally after a month an change I speak with her and she said well I did not get the proper release so there was NOT MUCH I CAN DO. Now accounting is calling wanting 500 more and I told them my case was not even worked on. I forwarded the SAME EXACT PDF and was told it was now accepted.

I did not want to pay another 500 if nothing was done. All I was told was that Ms Muirhead was "working on it" after same person told me that nothing was done because of a release that was sent which was good in the first place. I asked to speak to a supervisor about credit for a month and the supervisor just happen to be IN ACCOUNTING..What mickey mouse firm has a para legal reporting into accounting????? CASA does but it reaqlly doesnt as they are all in it together.

I wanted to know what was done before paying the 500 and was told I HAD TO PAY THE 500 TO FIND OUT. NO COMMUNICATION WITHOUT THE MONEY AND THEY CLOSED THE CASE.

They wouldnt give me access to what was done that was paid for up till that point! I lost 800 and they did nothing but am lucky it was only 800 as I later found out through reviews that they are a scam. I normally check reputations but it was an emotional sale and I got sold.

THEY HAVE AN F with the better business and bad reviews outweigh good ones by 5 to 1 at least.

I retained the company to stop a foreclosure where my mother had 24 canceled checks that she had paid. She has a few days left they assured me they could help me. I called the Diatech mortgage company and they told me they have gotten some letters stating they were wrongfully foreclosing.

I was expecting them to file something in the courts, petition, injunction - to give her time to get her cancel checks or money orders from the post office. I call back they said it be 10 days before I could get an appointment to talk to who was handling the case. The appointment they were talking about is a phone conversation. I actually thought I was hiring a local attorney. They are very cunning and crafty with words.

My sister calls:

Then I find out everybody there is a gang of so-called paralegals. I ask for my $1800 dollars back. They told me no refund. They were still working it. I told them they misrepresented themselves to me as real attorney's and assured me they could stop the foreclosure.

So I hire immediately another attorney, can and will.

I go online and find out they have an F with the better business bureau. They hundreds of the same complaints promising the same thing. They all a group of teenagers pretending to be attorneys and paralegals.
