Consumer warning to anyone looking to get Pierre Baccichet Construction and son jobs. I contacted them to make a roof on my 73 year old mother's house and do a framing for me on a garage in September of 2016. He offered me a price of 23000 dollars next to the house and the garage but informed me that if I paid cash it would be only 20k. Unfortunately, it was paid in advance (my mistake).
He said he gave me a good price because things were slowing down and his "teams" had no work during the winter. They started working on 25/10/16 and periodically introduced themselves and between two and four hours a day. When the hunt (deer) started, it was not found December came and I think they showed once to finish my mother's house.
The roofs were finished, but they had not started the framing. My wife and I had to call on him several times to see if he would go out and do the work.
First of all his excuse for not coming was that he was busy in other jobs and it was too cold to work almost every day. In January we called him and he said he would have the job done by the end of February or earlier if time permits.
Last February and we reminded him. Said he had a heart attack. His wife said that if I did not believe what she would fall "crew chief" her medical record. I did not tell him that I read medical records to make a living. I also asked why his crew could not do the job without him, he says, that they do not have the experience to do framing jobs without him. In any case, he did not appear in February and was called and promised to have the work done by the first two weeks in March. Never arrived
The summer of 2017, I grew very frustrated and started to present at their offices, but he was never there. At this point, the excuse was that he had a stroke. I did not hire him, I hired his company. Interestingly enough, on his business card, he states that he built custum houses and additions, but I have never seen any proof that they are capable of that except for a few generic photos on their website that might have been taken by anyone.
They stopped picking up my calls completely in 2018, and when I called different numbers they would pick until they heard my wife's voice, or I ... I recently hired a lawyer to put in a lawsuit that just cost me more money for now and I would not want anyone else to go through the nightmare that I lived.
