They say they will lower your bill but charge over 3 times what is promised. When I called the said it was PSEG that was ripping me off but they again lie. To cancel would cost hundreds more but would be worth it because of the super inflated bills.
Variable Rate Scam. Constellation Energy made no attempt to notify me about the impending variable rate increase. They increased my rate from $0.0799/KWH to $0.1791/KWH without notice. They communicated they mailed me a notice that I do not remember seeing. But more importantly the entire arrangement was setup online so why they did not email me a renewal notice makes no sense and I believe may be cause for a lawsuit. I did verify that no emails were received from Constellation since the time the agreement was established. This lack of contact can be for only one reason... toconvert consumers to their variable rate scam. We all need to push back on these immoral business practices.
From speaking with Constellation Energy customer service and next level management, they have no interest in maintaining a customer base. They are only interested in scamming consumers for profit. The real shame is my local electric company, Jersey Central Power & Light appears to be complicit in that they perform all the billing for themselves and Constellation Energy and when I explained the situation to them, they advised to pay my bill in full. Of course, I am not going to do so. I will pay a monthly amount I feel is fair.
I cannot believe the New Jersey Board of Utilities and Jersey Central Power & Light are not aware of this scam. The fact they allow this to continue is appalling. For anyone reading this... DO NOT TAKE A RISK DOING BUSINESS WITH CONSTELLATION ENERGY or any other 3rd party energy provider. They are pathetic scams that will steal from you and appear to be protected by state government and utilities.
I received today a collection notice regarding an "outstanding" balance of $338.00 with Constellation New Energy... says date of service was July 2015 When I called the bill collector, she tells me it is the gas provider portion... funny thing we have ALWAYS had Atmost and never changed gas providers. I disputed the bill but this is very concerning to get ...
