This company tells you they have no interest for 12 months, but what they don't tell you is that the 12 months starts from the date of purchase, not 12 monthly payments. Then when you think you are making your last payment, they add all the interest from your total purchase!! Highway robbery and very bad advertising!! Instead of making a final paymeny of $146, they charged me over $700 in interest!! What a rip off!!!!!

We ordered a king size platform bed from Consol class. It was delivered one week ago, on the second night the slats in the middle of the bed broke. They do not have a middle support for a king size bed, it's literally eight slats that are about 1 inch thick. Called cons the next day let them know what happened they told us we needed to contact their service department.

Call the service department they had us take pictures and send it to them they said that they would get the report done and get right back to us, two days later we finally call back to the service department and they tell us that they're going to send out a replacement board. This is a brand new bed that they've never had in their store, they don't even know if it comes with the middle support.

I explain to them that my daughter has a king size platform bed that has a middle support, I upgraded my queen size platform bed to a king and even my queen size had a middle support, they said there was nothing they could do besides send out a new board they said they understand it's going to continue to break because there is no middle support but did suggest that I call the company to return it.

So I called Conns furniture plus and I have literally had this bed one week and they told me they don't exchange or return furniture. So I'm looking around and I find that they have ripped many people off about this. $1000 bedframe and I can't even use it.

And I had already explained to them that during this pandemic Im not able to work nor has my husband found work, but they keep hassling us both. My husband also has account with them for furnitures. But the furniture are not study and fell apart soon after purchasing but the Conn's Insurance Protection isn't going to cover at this time.

Anyway they keep calling from Massachusetts & kansas area code numbers. And I keep telling them our situation. No job no money. To please work with me. But they are not standing down. What can we do?

I purchased a furniture set at my Conn's and was to receive a $200 cash back upon completing the first payment. When I attempted to claim the cash back offer, I was given the run around about the offer, including that I did not qualify. At the time of purchase, the cash back offer was used as an enticement to close the deal and I was told that I would have the cash back in time for Christmas. After months of futile calls to various entities Conn's referred me to, there was no resolution.

Bought a I-comfort bed that has 120 day sleep guarantee. The catch is that you have to sleep in it for 30 days before you can return it . I bought the bed aug 6th so I was able to return it on sept 6. I called customer service and they told me I can return it equal or less , I went to the store and they told me equal or more .

I expressed that does not make sence since I bought the most expensive bed and they don’t have anything like that . Called customer service on the phone and had them ask there manager and they told me equal or less and I got approved to trade the bed in . I bought the bed and base as a set .

Cs stayed now that the base is Furniture and I can’t return it but can return the bed . I keep getting miss infor . I called the store again and spoke with Antonio and had him on the call when I called cs back . They said I can return it for equal or less and at that moment Antonio came back on the phone and told them who he was and stored can’t do that only equal or more .

After the call the rep gave up and agreed with him . He said he is going to Houston to speck with the ceo, dm, ceoo and will bring it up and get this fix . I have gone in to the store and called and all I’m getting is excuses from him or I’ll be place on hold for 30 to 40 mins hoping I will hang up.

Also left messages for him to call me and he never does . He keeps saying someone going to call me . Or his dm will call me to sort this out . This has going on for over a month I have expressed that I don’t want the bed and to come and get it , I don’t want to do business with them and with all the wrong infor and the miss leading of the manager and employee of the company I want out of my contract.

I’m lost no one wants to help me and don’t want to be stuck with a bed I don’t like . I want them to honor there 120 days guarantee

ew months ago I went to Conns in Mesquite TX and bought a friedrich window AC unit- the compressor went out and Friedrich said they would stand behind their warranty and Conns should take care of it for me. I did everything I was asked to do- I filed for a work order got the approval to take the unit to the mesquite store and get a new unit . I drove 100 miles to take the unit back and conns didnt have a similair unit- they wanted to give me a cheaper unit I refused it- they tried to give me the store display model- with parts missing- I again refused- I am paying for the unit I picked out and I want one just like it- they didnt know ehn or IF they could get another unit similiar and wanted me to leave the old unit and wait til they could get another one- it's 100 degrees outside I can't wait - I asked that conns remove the AC along with the extended warranty-that I didnt ask for- off my account- they said NO- I left the store and went to Home Depot and bought me an AC - so needless to say- I wont be shopping at conns ever again- and if I get the AC replaced I will pay for it- if I don't get it replaced I won't be paying for it- Conns is bad about adding insurance and extended warrantys for hundreds of dollars extra on their contracts without even asking if the consumer wants it- Conns also is not reliable to tell a customer the truth about their total invoice they always say- you will recieve an invoice with everything on it in your email- by the time you get the email it's a done contract and they don't want to even talk to you about it- all they want is for you toi pay it and shut-up- Conns earned thier name- they are abunch of conn artists

I have had an account with Conn's for several years, and it has been a struggle to pay it off. The original debt was for a bed that was about $1700, then later we bought a washer and dryer for $2,000. That was more than five years ago. We made inconsistent but generally steady payments over the years, and the debt has been consolidated into one loan. After all of this time, we were told about six moths ago that the total we owed was just less than $1900.

Suddenly, however, they were talking about settling for a lesser amount, and after several small payments ($100 here, $200 there) we were offered a settlement of $600 for the whole debt.

We were pleased at this turn of events, and tried to make two payments of $300 each, one month apart. About two weeks ago, the Conn's representative asked me for a payment to keep the agreement in place, and I paid $100 and agreed to make a second payment for $200 last friday, 6/29/2018. That payment didn't clear.

Saturday they were on the phone and told me we could make another payment arrangement but that the settlement amount was now over $800 (I think it was around $860). I protested mightely and had a couple of very heated conversations on mMonday (yesterday) with them.

Today I have received over 15 calls from Conn's in the last twelve hours. The latest was at about 9:30 this evening when I called back a number left without a message and asked what my current settlement balance was. I was told some figure in excess of $1,200.

This seems criminal. Where I was in the position that I could have cleared the account for a significant discount (and for which I was thankful), now I am being harrassed and jerked around.

I have no idea what recourse I have. I am otherwise recovering slowly from allowing myself to be exploited by these shylocks, now i am arbitrarily jerked around by a massive organization that calls repeatedly, cannot be trusted to stand by a settlement, and have exploited my financial vunerability.

I am no longer in a position when bankruptcy is an attractive out of a hopeless situation - I am getting to the point where at 68 years old I have some financial momentum that will allow me to crawl out of the relatively low debt I have (other than student loans).

But tomorrow, I fully expect another dismal day of multiple calls from Conn's

I went to conn's home plus store and bought a sofa and love seat. The sales man george advised me that inorder to not pay any interest within the 18 month period, instead of paying the amount on the cupon book, to pay instead $265.00 a month and at the end of the 18 months the account would be payed off and i would have payed no interest.

I received a letter in the mail from conn.s indicatind that I was going to owe over $800 dollars on my account plus all the interest from day one when I bought the furniture.

I contacted the beaumont office and they tole me that there was nothing they could do. That it was written in the contract.

THIS IS A TOTAL RIPP OFF..!! NOT ONLY DID THE SALESMAN LIE TO ME ABOUT THE AMOUNT I HAD TO PAY, BUT HE DECEIVED ME INTO BUYING A SERVICE CONTRACT.

WHAT MAKES THIS MATTER WORSE,.....IN JANUARY 2018, I FILED A SERVICE REQUEST TO HAVE MY COUCH FIXED BECAUJSE THE SPRINGS WERE COMING THRU THE INSULLATION WHICH MADE THE COUCH UNUSABLE AT ONE END.

This was January that filed this request, finally this month (May 2018) Conns contacted me that the sofa was not fixable. This was after their service people had been to my house two different times and were not able to fix it.

What conns didn't care was that this problem with my service had been going on since october of 2017. So when I finally made my report in January 2018, the couch was not usable.

SO I WAS PAYING FOR A SOFA THAT WAS USABLE AND STILL BEING CHAARGED FOR A BROKEN PRODUCT FROM CONN'S

NOW CONN'S TELLS ME THAT I BETTER PAY OVER $800 DOLLARS BY JUNE 23 OR I WILL HAVE TO PAY INTEREST FROM DAY ONE OF MY PURCHASE.

CONN'S HOME PLUSS IS A RIPOFF AND THEY COMMITTED FRAUD WHEN THEIR SALESMAN INSTRUCTED ME TO PAY $265.00 MONTHLY AND I WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY ANY INTEREST FOR MY PURCHASE. A TOTAL LIE...,....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i AM A 100% Disable Vietnam Veteran and I do not deserve this type of treatment from this Furnithre store who does not care about customer service.

THE SALESMAN AND WHAT HE TELL THE CUSTOMER REPRESENTS CONN;'S AND EVERYTHING THAT HE TELLS SHOULD BE TRUTHFUL.

NOT IN THIS CASE....!!!! NOW I MUST SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES FOR HIS MISTAKE, OR LIE....!!

THEN THE FACT THAT THE SOFA WAS NOT USABLE FOR OVER 8 MONTHS AND THEY STILL GOT PAID, IS TOTALLY WRONG...!!

Terrbile Heartless Company. Do Not buy from them.

I was on the 1 year no interest plan which only allows for 1 late payment which is fine. I was late once in Jan/2017 because i moved clear across Texas, had no intention of being late again. BUT i was hospitalized the majority of April 2017 because i got e.coli. As most know this normally kills people. I was literally unconscious & couldn't make a payment. The infection got worse & i went into sepsis & the early stages of organ failure. I also had a heart attack & a blood clot causing me to stay in there longer. I am only 31 years old. This was a terribly painful experience.

Yet Conns would not work with me for this mitigating/life threatening circumstance even tho i was more than happy to provide the hospital documentation.

conns changing to acceptance now then to rent a center i personnally feel that this company has previously cheated and mis lead people for years and still stayed in buisness even still broad casting their ads on public television commercials. they should be sued on a class 1 law suite for breach of contracts and false advertisement. i am personnally going to publicly complain about this to not only local but national news stations across america .

10/11/14 we ordered appliances from CONNS APPLIANCES. We used a "12 month same as cash no APR" . Every payment was made on time and the balance was paid in full on the 12 month. Appliances purchased; a GE refrigerator, LG washer/ dryer set w/pedestals, GE 36" cooktop, and Samsung Chef series dishwasher. Warranties were purchased for all except cooktop. We started having trouble with the refrigerator almost from the start. After over 2 years and numerous service calls they agreed to replace. We had spent the previous 3-4 months using dry ice in at a cost of about 300$. The cooktop wiring caught fire in 2016 and we replaced it at our own cost. The DW was deemed unrepairable in 2016. THIS IS THE CURRENT ISSUE. The store kept telling us they hadn't received an order to replace. This went on for months. Now they say "corporate " says the replacement order has expired. What order!! The store kept saying they had no order!! We paid over 8000.00$ for said appliances plus warranties. This D.W. was 1099.99$ . One of the times my husband called to check on the infamous order the asst. manager actually HUNG UP ON HIM!! Today went I went in to talk to them AGAIN I saw a female employee snickering over our predicament. YES I confronted her to say how extremely rude and unprofessional she was. WE FULFILLED OUR PART OF THE CoNTRACT!!!! They had ever penny within 12 months!!! What do we do now !!!!!!

Conns lives up to their name they are the biggest cons ever. I bought a brand new washer and dryer in February and have prblems with them ever since. They will not let me exchange the appliances because the technician will have to tell them that its not repairable. The Conns technician has been to my home 3 times to repair the appliances, and Conns still won't let me exchange the appliances this company is the biggest RIP OFF EVER!!! If anyone shops there BUYER BEWARE.

As a long time customer of Conn's who has spent more than $40K with them, I was shocked to see that they returned my payment to me of $109.87 in November 2016 in error. Because they made this error, they reported me to the cridit bureause as late. I was not late, I paid. They sent the money back like idiots.

I returned the check to them and have made two more payment os this account which is one of four that I presently have open. The account has not been corrected and in March, they reported me late again which is totally incorrect.

This morning I got a reply from another idiot saying that there was a balance due because they sent my payment back. Are all these people high school dropouts? I Paid ontime. Conn's sent my money back. Their error. I paid again twice, still showing that I owe the check they sent in error that was returned. Evidently when Alyssa said she would get the check credited, she didn't do thta, and remove the $5.00 late fee since I wasn't late...didn't happen either.

As of today, account is totally incorrect. Two payment have not posted, still showing me late when I was never late. Have not corrected due dates because nothing was corrected online. However I got a statement in the mail that shows everything was corrected and balance owed for that period was zero. That, of course, is not what's online.

I need the account to be posted accurately and all late reports to the credit bureaus to be removed and not to receive one more "Deemed Solved" statement until it actually is solved.

I bought a set of couches not even three years ago they are totally looking bad before about them they offer me the warranty for four years they said that it will cover every single detail even if I kid colored The couches holds normal wear and tear everything I paid over $2500 for this couches to be looking the way they are looking now .. I have called several times for them to come and check the couches so they can fix them they have send people twice but only because I called over and over destinations they have sent two pictures of the couches there's a big hole The springs are coming off and they say that there's nothing wrong with the couches and that it doesn't cover warranty and they tell me there is because I called a month after the service the mission came to my house other than that I wouldn't even hear from them it is A total rip off of this sales person to be telling that the warranty is going to cover everything and then you call customer service to fix the things and they don't do nothing this company is a big rip off for everybody taking a bandage of people the ones to fix their credit over pricing objects and then acting like they don't have to pay for anything or on or anything that they have promised.

I would strongly recommend NOT purchasing products from Conn's HomePlus. Since becoming a customer last year, I have been lied to, mislead, misinformed and deceived by this company. I am confident that their actions are in direct violation of Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA). And I am seeking assistance from a consumer law attorney. I bought a living room sofa and lounge set from Conn's HomePlus 12901 N Interstate Hwy 35 store number 1100 in Austin, TX 78753 and had to to return it in May 2016 because it was defective. I understand that things like this do happen from time to time, but here I am almost 9 months later without resolve. My issue is not with the defective furniture, it is with

Conn's HomePlus customer service or lack there of. After the defective furniture was picked up/returned to Conn's, they offered me an exchange for a different set. I was not interested in any other available option at that time. All I wanted to do is return the defective furniture and pay any additional fees, etc. As I found out this would be rather difficult. In fact it took over 5 months for them to give me an account balance! Every time I called and spoke to customer service they would tell me that this needs to go to our offline department and you should call back in 72 hours. I did call back what seems like 20 times since May. I was also told that someone would call me to discuss my account. I have never received

one call to discuss my account. I do however have the Escalation Case numbers to prove that I have tried everything in my power to close the account. Please note that I was told each time that these cases were "updated". That is why there are less case numbers than calls to customer service. Escalation Cases: 486524 503519 I have spoken to what seams like a dozen representatives since returning the furniture on May 25, 2016. Initially I thought it was the incompetence of the employees but later figured out that it was just Conn's HomePlus way of mistreating me. None of the representatives could give me a correct pay off balance or a clear explanation for the lack of follow through on closing my account. They

told me my cash option was removed due to late payment. I didn't understand this. I have never been late on a payment not to mention the furniture was returned and the Bose sound bar was paid off. Finally one of the customer service managers, David Bearden (37192) said he could help me out. He admitted that the account/order should have been rewritten to show only the Bose sound bar. He then told me he had to submit my account to a different department for review and I should call back in 72 hrs/a couple of days. After a number of call backs I was able to get on the line with David again. He said that nothing had been done with the account and that he had to submit my account to Terry to have

my cash option reinstated and pay 541 dollars. After a few more days I called back and spoke with David. This time he was able to give me a total balance due. From what I understood the balance included interest, taxes, prorated insurance, fees, etc. David gave me a payoff amount of 655.42. I paid the amount and David told me my account would be closed. He lied. After numerous calls made in an attempt to speak with David I finally spoke to a George who was able to get David on the line. David proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do for me and that I still owed somewhere in the 800 dollar range to pay off the interest on the account. At this point I do not know what to do. I am confused, frustrated

and my credit report says I have a negative account with Conn's HomePlus. I have not possessed the products in 8 months. Please look into Escalation Cases and listen to conversations. I would like the account to be closed out.

My husband and I purchased a Samsung fridge and additional warranty from Conn's in Tulsa OK on October 20, 2016. On November 25, 2016 it completely stopped working.

We called for repair and waited almost two weeks before a repair tech came to look at it. He stated the compressor was no good on the fridge and need to be replaced with a new one. One week later, we thought we would be getting it fixed but the new repair guy said there was a different problem with the fridge. Las Friday, December 16, 2016 were they were finally going to get it fixed. I left work early and waited at home till 630pm but no one ever showed up. We were told the wrong part was sent and they could not do the repair after all.

We call Conn's on Monday 12/19/16 and were told they were going to replace the fridge with a new because this one came off the assembly defective. Great because we haven't had a working fridge in almost a month. Today we receive a call stating that the request was denied and they were going to figure out a way to get it working for us. It will be 30 days on Sunday that we have been patiently trying to get this resolved. The managers, Joe Abbott and Austin Mason at the store on Admiral have promised multiple times to help get this problem fixed but they were just words. Now they are refusing to even take our calls.

I have sent multiple emails to Conn's on their website but have yet to hear from anyone. Conn's Appliance stole our $1300 and refuses to fix the refrigerator, replace it or give us back our money.

This is what happened, what I sent them along with copies of my contract, they havent called me except the 20 plus calls a day for collections because I only paid $75 of the $127 they incorrectly say I owed. 12/12/2016 Conns Inc. 3295 College St Beaumont, TX 77701 To whom it may concern: To put this politely, I am disappointed beyond words. Not so much I haven’t reached out to a lawyer, the BBB, the OCCC and every blog I can get my hands on. If it were my company, and having owned my own for 18 years so I know what I’m saying, I personally would fix this situation to make the customer stop telling the truth about our ways. Having been a long time GREAT customer, I went into the store on Hulen Street in Fort Worth in the early part of July. My husband had passed away 4 days prior and my refrigerator also had gone out. I had never done a major purchase without him. Everything went well with that transaction.

In late October, my living room TV went out, or so I thought. I went into Conns on the following day and got an LG tv and a ROKU Tv for my bedroom. I was told all documents were electronic now and I watched on the monitor and eventually was told $127 a month. It was high but I would have to find a way to make it work. My neighbor saw me carrying them in and came over, I told him mine had gone out in the Living Room, he offered to take a look at it due to the fact my husband had just passed and he knew I maybe didn’t know what I was doing.

Turned out the Surge protector had gone bad and the TV was fine. So I never opened the LG TV and returned it approximately 2-3 days later. When I went to return it, it was like I was going to a funeral. Everyone was put out and irritated that they had to do a return. The assistant manager who assisted me was typing into the monitor as he always does, and saying very little, he asked why I was returning it and I told him and he seemed irritated that my neighbor had even helped me. After 30 minutes of this he finally says “Ok, you’re all done, you’re next payment is due December 9th and its $67 or so.” And I said “Oh good that is much better too!!” I saw there waiting for my copies and he looked at me and said “What??” I asked “Do I not even get a copy or proof I returned an $800 TV?? Or any of the other #’s you mentioned??” He said it was all electronic and I told him I wasn’t leaving without some proof. Reluctantly he printed me off the forms I wanted.

When I went in Friday to make my payment, they told me it was $127, I told them they were wrong, and explained, AGAIN, the situation. I saw the same Assit. Mgr. who processed the return and he came over and I refreshed his memory. He said “So?” I told him “I have the paperwork I had to beg to get from you and it clearly states my new payment AND due date.” He said “Ok, so??” I said so I just magically came up with $67 in my head and luckily the right date? Obviously something told me to do that!?” and again he said “And?” VERY rude and disrespectful. He shouldn’t deal with customers AT all. I made my payment of $75 and went to my car and located the copies, I took photos and sent to my attorney (CC’ed below) who told me to go in there and get it fixed. I went back inside and showed him “Right here! Here is where it states what you told me verbatim!!!” VERY MAD now, he called the store manager, they looked it over and said “Well this is no good, there is no signature” I said of course not, I had to beg that man to get that even!

Everything is all ‘electronic!” He kept telling me how it was incorrect, then it wasn’t valid, I told him my lawyer had already been called and would take care of and how I was uneducated by not listening to the 1000’s of complaints online. Manager of the store told me that the only way it could be fixed was to refinance it, so I said “lets refinance it then!” and he said “Oh well we can’t do that, you will have to contact this # or this #” basically he gave me a bunch of work as if I already was doing more than necessary. He kept asking for my contract again, the one he said was “no good”. I finally said “No, I don’t trust you, this is all I have and you’ve done nothing to earn my trust. I’ll hold on to it thank you.” So that is over 2 hours I will never get back of my life wasting time writing this and with your unreasonable mangers. I expect to see this rectified immediately and perhaps you should consider speaking with your staff and their attitudes, they were incredibly disrespectful. I do have an audio recording as my attorney suggested I do so. I assume I will hear from you soon.

I bought a 1000 dollar appliance from conns on zero precent credit . I have been paying 200 dollars a month tring to pay it off because of the ripoff from conns and synchrony bank. It doesn't matter if you pay 2 days ahead of due date or five days ahead of due date . They still charged me a late fee of 30 dollars. i went two times they said it was out of there hands. i called sychrony bank two to three times and synchrony bank could not explain the lost time when the money was released from the bank on time two to five days ahead of schedule and when they got it. I had a bank employee call synchrony bank and it still didnt do any good. I am loosing time from work and lost sleep time because i work night shift. Is there any other solutions to get my late fees back and i will never buy anything again at CONNS Josie Haase

I bought 2 computers from Conn's on Riverdale Rd in Memphis Tennessee over a year ago. The sales person said I got two years free interest. I get a letter after paying on it for almost a year stating my free interest for the first year is almost up and to pay it off or the contract kicks in. I freaked out. I called Conn's customer service. They didn't care. I wne to the store, and they didn't care. I evern talked to the CEO of Conn's, Mark Prior the attorney for Conn's and the CEO's assistant. They didn't care one single bit. Look at the Internet, this company has more complaints against them then you can imagine. Now, I was wrong for not reading the contract and believed the sales person so I did sign it, but I also have 3 recorded conversations now with the sales person with her admitting I didn't have to pay any interest for the 2 years. This is not the first lie this company told me. They can't keep salesmen or managers. Everytime you go in to Conn's to make a payment, there are different employees. This company only puts Conn's stores in low income ( usually mostly black ) neighborhoods knowing they can stick it to you. They look for people with bad credit. Here is a for instance. If a TV at Best Buy cost you let's say $600, then at Conn's that exact TV is usually $200 or more than the one at Best Buy and other stores. I have over 60 peoples names that have been lied to by Conn's. I have passed out over 50,000 fliers at my expense telling people in the Memphis area what they did to me and not to sho at Conn's. I have met 3 different ladies in person crying their eyes out because what Conn's did to them. Go to hhGregg. At least they won't lie and the prices are cheaper and they can get you the same financing. I will continue to pass out fliers and I will do it until it makes a big financial dent in Conn's profits. Please do not shop at Conn's.

Stuck paying for a bed we can't use - over $6K - didn't even sleep on the bed one night. It's stored with a cover on it. Plus the two adjustable bases - I refuse to pay for them!

Went into Conn's to purchase a portable air conditioner. Explained to the salesman exactly what I wanted and he came back saying they did not have that item in stock. He of course suggested a bigger more expensive unit and told me it was more energy efficient.

I went ahead and purchased the unit and had it delivered. After it was set up, I ran the unit per the owners manual and it blew cold air. After a couple of hours I checked and the room was still hot. The unit would blow cold air then after it cycles through, the fan continues to run and blows warm air. The unit never shuts off unless you turn it completely off.

The following day I called the salesman and explained what the unit was doing, he gave me the number to their "help desk". I called and they could not offer any help. I called the salesman back and he said he would talk with his manager and call me back. After 2 days of no return call, I called him again and had to leave a message. I did this several more times without a return call.

I then called the manager, Josh and explained everything to him. He told me he would check into it and call me back by the end of the day or the next morning at the latest. After waiting two more days, I called again and a new person identified their self as the manager and said Josh was on vacation. After explaining everything to him, he flat out told me there are no returns or exchanges on any A/C units period and there was nothing they could do.

I filed a complaint with the BBB of Houston. I got a rwesponse from Conn's Customer Relations Department who told me the same thing about their return policy and that the policy is posted all over the store and in the documents I received.

I went into the store where I made the purchase and there are no signs in the A/C department, no signs by the sales desks, no signs by the customer service desk. There was a very small sign by the exit that has their return policy on it. I reviewed my sales contract and all other documents I received and there is no return policy.

Conn's refuses to do anything for me. Other appliance store chains like HHGregg, Best Buy, Lowes, and several others have customer satisfaction returns on almost everything within time contraints.

I went into Conn,s on 08-06-2016 and purchased a refrigerator for the price of $1159.00 and when I got home I called because I did not receive the 10% off, I looked at my flyer and it was not a coupon so I went in store Sunday and spoke with the manager Ruby but she said it was not showing delivered so she could not go in and put it to return my money because I paid cash. Monday I went back to the store and store manager Arthur Alexander proceded to help me and we still could not get the matter resolved, then that afternoon my sales associate Cedric called and said I they would not be giving me my 10% off. Then on 08-09-2016 refrigerator not cooling (I purchased a side by side) and I called and spoke with Arthur again about problem I was having and he assured me he would send someone out Wed. and I never heard from him, because I stated to him if it had to be repaired I wanted a new refrigerator because that is what I purchased. I called the service dept myself Thur and they came out today which is Friday and said they had to order a part, I have tried and tried to work with them and I have not had any issues resolved. I said I do not want this item because I have had it less than 1 week and it is a problem. i feel like I have been ripoff and because I paid cash they are not trying to resolve this. I would like them to come and get this refrigerator and bring me a new one out with no problems like what I paid for. I will never shop there again and I should have listened to other customers who have had the same problems with them.

Conn's has commercials on tv all the time stating they will approve credit for anyone. I am recently separated and my credit isn't good at the moment. I went into Conn's and filled out an application. They approved my application and told me I qualified for $3500 in credit. They even state the monthly payments will be low and easy to afford each month.

The salesperson took me around the store and I picked out what I needed for my apartment. The total amount of what I picked out was $2200. We sat down to do the paperwork required for my new furniture. To my shock I was told that I needed to pay a down payment totalling $345 and that my monthly payments would then be $330 per month for one year. Which comes to a total of $4305 which is almost double the price of the furniture I had picked out. And that doesn't include their required insurance fee which would be added into the cost unless I faxed them proof of renter's insurance.

I have never heard of a credit card requiring a down payment. When I asked them why there is a down payment, they told me it is required of everyone regardless of credit rating. I then asked about the monthly payments because they do advertise that monthly payments will be low and they did not give me a straight answer. Same thing when I asked what the interest rate would be on my purchase.

I talked to the person in charge as well and was not able to get a straight answer out of them. I told them I would not be buying furniture from them and left the store.

This store is running some kind of finance scam and false advertising as well.

Conns Home Plus is a big ripoff! My "NEW." furniture is not even a month old and already the furniture is marred, ruined! The finish is coming off and they will NOT do anything about it! I have the pictures to prove it!

I also am a victim of Conn's Rac acceptance, I purchase a stove and microwave on 08/28/2014 I did not have good credit so they took me over to the rent a center booth, according to my conn's invoice I paid $1469.90 for the items, by the time RAC got through with me the total cost to own these items is going to be $3543.87, more than double, I was a previous Conn's customer but unfortunate things happen to good people, but for Conn's to allow this scam to happen in their stores is unacceptable, I will be done paying for these items this year in August 2016, I recently purchase a refrigarator from sears I did the layaway program and paid it off in six weeks, i can promise you 1 thing I will never ever buy anything again through Conn's nor will I let my friends or family purchase from there, I tell my story to alot of people, stay away from Conn's, now i see that they are at Ashley's furniture, rooms to go, somewhere somebody is making alot of money and for these companies to allow it is unacceptable, i'm sure they and the policitians who turn a blind eye are getting a cut. Shut Them Down!

I signed an agreement with Conns Home Plus back in February 2015. In this agreement, I was given the options to pay off my account with them in 12 months at no interest with their cash only option. On January 20th, 2016 I called to pay the remainder of my account. I was given the cash option fulfillment priced and agreed to the transaction given it would completely pay off this account. A few days later, I logged in to verify the account was removed which it was not. I called and was told that not only did I over pay for my items by $400 or so, the account would be removed after further escalation.

We are now in March and Conns has refused to close the account. Each time I call, they tell me that the department responsible can not be contacted externally and they will submit the closure again. It's now been submitted 4 times and there's been no response. I have 2 other open accounts with them that I'm stuck because I don't want to give them any more of my hard earned money but if I don't, my credit is down the drain. Do yourself a favor and DON'T do business with them, they obviously don't appreciate it.

Disgusted with the CONN"S runaround. I'm going to re-post this to Yelp, the BBB and everywhere else I can to spread awareness about the way your store continues to make it difficult to get help after a claim is made on the purchased warranty. After three trips to our house regarding the breakdown of the furniture we purchased, the third party company you sent out finally had a guy who at least took apart the furniture and spent time putting in screws to alleviate the creaking and cracking. This didn't help. We were called and told we would be issued a full replacement. Then we were told that the furniture had been discontinued and we would have to physically go down to a store and pick out something else.

We were issued $879.99 for the loveseat and $899.99 for the sofa, leaving a total of $1779.98 for quote, "IN STORE CREDIT". My wife picked out a sofa and chair with ottoman. We were then told that the ottoman wasn't coming in the delivery because it was a one for one exchange. Nothing on the statement says it was a one for one exchange, it only states and in store credit of $1779.98! The ottoman is part of the furniture my wife picked out after having to travel all the way down to a store because of the discontinued set. We just want the d**n ottoman! The total for the replacement sofa and chair comes to $1349.98 leaving our in store balance of $430. The ottoman is $299. We're just asking for what we were promised!! We filed a formal complaint and are waiting for Conn's to step up to the plate and finish this replacement nightmare!

I returned my tablet in December of 2014 I went back to see if it was sent to repair January 2015. The tablet was missing and had not made it to the repair place, i waited two more weeks, went back to the conns in January of 2015. it had been to repair an was found that the memory board was ruined.\

I was givin a credit for my tablet, because it was under warranty that i paid 200+ dollars for. When i returned i got the table t i wanted the lady remembered me an when she went in to do the credit an me paythe difference the credit was NO LONGER there,. after searching for over 30 minutes through everything we could, I had toleave eto pick up my children. I went back On that Monday still no credit, I simply asked for my tablet back an she said she would work on finding my credit rather then giv eme back a junk tablet.

Conns moved from Ornage texas where they shut the store down to beaumont texas where it was already an open store, I went into beaumont again no credit nothing on my file an can not give me back my table that was $549. they are "destroyed". I went home very upset my husband an i went back in there tword the end of march beginning of april an asked again for the credit, Low an behold it was there but " Unforuntaly you didnt use your credit in time an it has expired" that what i was told. How i can use something that isnt there when i have tried!

Still it is now 1-2016 Still no tablet no credit an they said they are jus sorry on my behalf that it happened! No matter who you talk to. I paid the 800+ dollars for my tablet an warranty an i got nothing out of it.

Purchased a Samsung dishwasher, the most costly one they had, didn't qualify for 0% financing because I was declined for the Conns credit card, which is the only way to get 0%, and the store sales people do not tell you that, I had to call customer service to find that out but at that point I was ok. Well two weeks later, guess what shows up in the mail, a Conns credit card that goes thru Synchorny Bank.

So I return to the location where I made the dishwaher purchase, only to get no where with anyone including Vincent the manager. Vicent stated that I was past the 30 day charnge and return policy, and there was nothing he could do, but what he failed to realize that I purchased the item on 10/14/2015, it was not delivered until three days later. And as it explains on Conn's website, the 30 period starts when the item was received not purchased and I was in the store twice before that date, one time because the manager was no where to be found, was told he was at lunch at 3pm, and no one was sure when he would return, so I was told to return another time.

I then started the over a month long process of complaints with Conns, of which I had to call them to get any information on the complaints I had made. One of the phone calls with customer service, I was told that there was a resolution to my complaints and that I was being transfered to that department, they did not answer the transfer, so I was told to call back tomorrow and I would be connected to the right person. Called the next day, only to hear that there was no resolution, and that I would have to wait until someone calls me. Days later, the accounts payable department calls me asking for a payment, I explained that to them and they transfer me to corporate. Now this corporate manager tells me that I can not return the product nor receive any 0% financing, and if I return the product it will put on my credit as a "voluntary repossession".

I have made numerous purchases with this company, thinking I was a valued customer, well guess what, as soon as they sell you their products, they are pretty much done with you. Even when I proposed to return the item only to purchase another dishwasher with the Conns credit card, all I got was, " you cant return the item and we will report you to the credit agencies, so is there any other questions I can help you with?" Thanks a lot Conns and Conns Home Plus, you just lost from what I see, another customer due to the poorest customer service.

We were notiified in the mail of having credit approved with Conn's Homeplus so we went there to purchase some furniture in January 2015.

We purchased a sofa and loveseat. The soft started having flattening to the cushions after about a month's use. We have notified the store of that yet.

As soon as the due day approached, we started receiving calls wanting our payment. They will call every hour wanting payment. You are given 10 days grace period, but they start calling the very first day the payment is due. They not only call our home phone, they call my cell phone.

We have always made our payments on time, and went there in about August to purchase a bed set. The same thing, even though our payments are made on time, they call from the very first due date, every hour on the hour, until the payment is made. This borderlines on harassment.

Don't ever go there. I am so disappointed. The sofa is ugly now, and I'm sick and tired of them calling all the time for money. Not only that, the furniture is definitely overpriced. The same identical sofa set I bought is available at Big Lots for less than half the price.

I was contacted by a collection agency in August, 2014 who stated that they were taking me to court unless I set up payment arrangement for past due amount of $900.00, due to Conns. When I was first became aware of an unpaid debt to Conns it was late January/ early February 2013. At the original time of contact, I was in the hospital for emergency surgery. My second contact with them was literally the first day I was released from the hospital, at that time I explained to the caller that I was unable to handle things at the moment at which time she began to very rudely speak to me along with an additional person who was on the line, they eventually said that they would call back. Being ill and recovering I forget about the phone call, as I had surgery again one month later in March, 2013.

Fast forward, August 2014 United Check Recovery Bureau contacted me indicating that on the end of the business day, a Friday, that they were acting on the behalf of Conns and would be filing on me for theft... I was astounded and I had to think back on the accounts leading up to this phone call, so I told the gentleman I was going to have to speak to an attorney friend of mine regarding the situation at which he responded if you do that, then we will pursue the lawsuit. After hanging up, I called my friend who suggested that I contact Conns to verify my prior coversation, to which I did,

I spoke to an individual who told me that they could no longer speak to me, as my account had been sold to United Check Recovery Bureau and gave me the number. I called my friend and told him the conversation that I had with Conns, he advised me to called United and set up a payment plan which I did, to pay off the debt, which by the was was more than the item originally purchased. I contact the company and spoke to the gentleman who originally spoke to me, and explained that I live on fixed income, and could not just willingly pay a debt that (in that amount) I was unsure of, he asked if I spoken to an attorney and I replied "yes" and told him that he suggested that I set up a payment plan to quickly pay off the debt. Needless to say, I made three monthly payments of $ 223.00 to United Check Recovery Bureau, on 8/15/14, 9/10/14, and 10/10/14 to clear my debt, because this is WHO Conns forwarded me to.

Fast forward one year later, I have been contacted by yet another recovery bureau (Corner Stone) for CONNS informing me I owe $ 527.00 for the same account ON A FRIDAY again, and will be filed on Monday morning if action is not taken. Needless to say Conns will never go out of business if they are STILL collecting on debts that have been paid over and over. By the way I have discovered that the original debt was less than $200.00 and the payment was overlooked by my sister as I helped her purchase the cheapest refrigerator that they had. I own up to the debt not being paid, but why didn't Conns first contact me with this was thirty days over due (never received notification).

Buyers beware when dealing with a corporation of CONS such as Conns who 1) Employee less than repectful collection agents; 2) Deal with fraudulent collection bureaus; and 3) have the new collecting bureau call and tell you that you may be able to recover $7.00... Thieves ALL of THEM!
