Old Scam from 2012. I never got my money back and I thought better to let other people know. A company aparently based out of Hong Kong, or South America (the person signing has a South-american name, but the webmaster was based out of Hong-Kong), CongaLotto.com A.K.A. "BuyLottoOnline" sent me advertisement to buy State of New York Lottery Tickets and I STUPIDLY decided to try (I NEVER buy lottery tickets and I do not gamble and I was new to scams online)
They never sent the promised tickets or gave me the tickets number. Soon enough it was pretty obvious to me it was scam, but to my dismay, my credit card refused to cancel the payment. However, they did block any future transactions with that "company". This ended up costing me dear, as my credit card began to be blocked of often when I wanted to use it while traveling, from that point on.
The alleged "company" I bought the tickets from, sent me the email below after multiple attempts on my part to cancel my account.
Claimed they were selling me 10 tickets for $130 US, turned out it was 3 single tickets that I didn't received and I was charged $190.00 CDN Paid close to $200.0 for nothing. They refuse to talk to me on chat and won't reply to my emails.
I have a complant against congalotto cause i thought that i was only paying 12.00 dollars cause that is what it said with the discount so i played the powerball that was supposed to be only what they told me online now i checked my bank accout and come to fined out they took 67.00 dollars out i am very upset i would like this took care of so no one else to be rip off thank you mary adcock rossville ga
I have purchased lottery tickets over the past two days. I bought only 6 games for a total of $27.00 dollars. Then I get an email from Congolotto saying that I am being charged $64.00. I have been in dispute with them since yesterday and they claim that I authorized a subscription which I certainly did not. I have alerted my credit card company and they seem to know all about Congolotto. Also, the tickets that I picked yesterday for a future draw are totally different numbers on the confirmation received from Congolotto. I certainly have no desire to pay $27.00 for tickets that I chose for a previous lottery that has come and gone. I have sent them several e-mails but so far no reply.
Based on what I have read on the internet this company seems to be dishonest with the customer. My credit card is behind me as the fraud department from my credit card company initially called me about the pending charges. It is too bad this company is so unprofessional as it is a convenient way to purchase tickets if you are unable to travel to a kiowsk.
I wanted to purchase a last minute powerball ticket & when I searched online, Congalotto came up. I paid 15.00 for 3 tickets and I won 4.00. I realize that this is a scam when there was no way to collect. I'm asking for a refund.
