Concrete Specialist, "David Charles" or on facebook at Concrete Specialists in Montgomery, Texas gave me a fake contract that stated he would do a new driveway, break up and remove concrete, and pour new foundation for a total of $2,000 because he was working down the street, etc. He came out with a bogus contract that demanded $1,000 deposit and $1,000 upon completion.
He started to break up and remove tree roots. Said his equipment malfunctioned and would have to return the next day. I said I did not want to give him $1,000 as he said it would be all removed and ready for the frame and pour by the end of the day. He demanded the $1,000 or he would not return at all. Stating his contract was binding and he had a great reputation and even called a guy that he put on speaker stating to deliver 2 yards of concrete the next day.
The guy said to text the address, etc. Long story about having a pregnant girlfriend and he and his father built the company and have big jobs and that this is a small job and he did not need the money, etc., that he was doing a small job as a favor, etc. Now he is no where to be found - facebook girlfriend said something "terrible" happened and he had to go to his family in Louisiana and they are good people. Please do not be mad, etc. that she will try to repay it some how. Right. Lesson learned.
