I had originally applied online at a local loan company, I didn't like the terms so decided not to go with them. About a week went by and I had received first an email then the next day a phone call from "Barbra Merlin" saying that I had been approved for my requested $30,000 loan. She offered 9% interest and a decent monthly payment of $480.00.

At first I was a little learly as this was a US Company and I was in Canada. She had all the right answers, saying that I would be dealing with their "International department". I inquired if my loan would be in US or Canadian funds. Barbara mentioned all would be in Canadian funds.

When I agreed, Barbra emailed me a contract to print out, sign, date, and provide his ID, SIN, pay stub, and my checking account info. (she was going to direct deposit). I had set up a completely new account for this. After she received my info via email she said I needed to wire her $960.00 deposit through Western Union to cover the first months payments. Upon receiving the money she would deposit my loan.

Before emailing or even wiring any funds to her, I did a google search for any of the names I found on the paperwork as well as her name and the company name. I even called the office building to confirm they were there. I reached the guard who had told me that a "new company had moved and he believed that might have been them"

I been looking for auto financial for the longest time. And due to my credit being so destroyed due to my identity theft curse, it's been hard. But I kept searching and I got the call from these folks. I was getting ready for work at the time. Concord Financial called my cellphone this morning to state that I was approved for $25000. Amber Davidson was the lady that called me. Following that, an email was also sent to me as well. I told my dad and he was surprised that it was true. But starting to be skeptical about it from the beginning. I was truly happy cause I was saying I can finally release the 2010 chevy Malibu I currently have to trade for a 2011 Infiniti ex35. I told my mother as well and it took some convincing but she was willing to sign the notary papers. She did. Everything was all said and done. The dealer ship has all my information and is waiting on my end to get everything switched and completed.

At first I was sitting there debating, but I kept the dream alive. I sent funds to concord financial to make sure it was said and done. I sent $840 for the deposit and whatnot. Which was thru western union by cash. I kept my receipts and copies in my phone. A few days later I called back to Amber Davidson and found out the funds wasn't in my account. She went to the legal department to see what was going on. An hour later, she tells me that she misread the information. Which is very frustrating. So after she explained the details, I ended up believing her. Next thing you know, I get paid again and I sent them $810 more dollars for this insurance premium. Amber also quoted to me on her words. "The funds you sent are confirmed. The 810 is secured and paid for the deposit. And we just received the $810 as you paid (5-11-17 @ 10:50am). A few hours later, another phone call. Your check has been mailed out via FedEx and should arrive 24-48 hours. As for the remaining funds of $1346, that will be deposited into your checking account the next business day. So I screwed myself out of 2 paychecks from my job, and I'm stuck wondering what have I done. Golden rule : You don't send money to get money. Barbara Merlin answered my calls about 2 hours ago stating another stipulation. I have to send $2000 more and something about the contract is 8%. I already printed the documents and it shows 7.75%. So clearly my dad was right. And I'm so ashamed and distraught... I prayed this was not true. My dream vehicle is waiting for me and sadly it's gonna fade away because I was lied to and I sent my funds out to these humans. Despite my checking account being pre-paid via Ace Express (no withdrawals to overdraw from). I don't know how to explain this to my dad. And my mom signing the notary papers. I need my funds returned ASAP. Im so upset. How do I explain this to my parents that I lost over $1600?

I was offered a loan in the amount of 7000.00. Ms. Amber davidson kindly called me and left me a message regarding the loan. I kindly returned the call. She explained everything to me and informed me that i either needed a cosigner or i had to pay collateral which is pay 450.00 up front to cover the first three months; my first payment would have been in september, "sounds good, huh." so, i did so. After sending the 450.00, the money was suppose to be deposited into my account, but wasn't. Ms. Davidson was leaving work early that day and left her colleague information, ms. Barbara merlin. I called ms. Merlin and she told me that what ms. Davidson explained to me was wrong and went to listen to the recording of our conversation, so since ms. Davidson gave me the wrong information, ms. Merlin says well you have to send 750.00 to cover your insurance and we will give you two full years of no interest due to ms. Davidson's mistake, but, i would have to start making my payments immediately after because they waived the rest of the fees. Fair enough, i sent the 750.00, well, i called ms. Merlin and i was upset and asked why is this becoming difficult; it seems like i am paying for the loan upfront; she then became rude and said, that i should have read my contract and that i can get a lawyer, well guess what i did read my contract and i do have my lawyer now, ms. Barbara merlin, "the ripoff." she explain to me that the money would be deposited on saturday, april 29th, well, it wasn't. I called back on monday, may 1st, i kept getting answering machines, but at times, i received calls back. When i called ms. Barbara merlin's desk, a ms. Jillian answered the phone. She told me that, in order for me to recieve this loan, i would have to send another 560.00. At this moment, i was pissed. I just sent you guys 1200.00 and i still haven't received my loan. Now, since the beginning, i can't reach neither ms. Amber davidson nor ms. Barbara merlin; the only person is ms. Jillian. I called to request for my money back. Ms. Jillian told me that refunds are being dispursed on june 7th because refunds are not given until after 30 days; is that because you will change your business name and/or your identity. I will see what happens then, but in the meantime, i will keep hounding them for my hard earned money "ripoffs".

After applying online at a local loan company my husband and I decided not to go with them. A week went by and he received a phone call from "Barbara Merlin" saying she wanted to work with him and offered him a loan for $15,000 (we originally only wanted $12,000 but she insisted). She offered 9% interest and a decent monthly payment of $270. He agreed to the $15,000 and she emailed him a contract to print out, sign, date, and provide his ID, SSN, pay stub, and our checking account (she was going to direct deposit). After receiving the info via fax she said we needed to wire her $810 to cover the first three month payments. Upon receiving the money she would deposit our loan. 3 days passed and she wouldn't answer the phone. On day 3 someone else answered and informed us the account was "red flagged" and we needed to send an additional $1200.00. Unfortunately my husband did. 3 more days passed with no answer. He called today (day 3) and oops another "red flag" on the account. She needs ANOTHER $800 for some fees. At that point I stepped in and said NO. I called her myself and she got very upset when I asked if it was a scam. She said "maybe you shoulda did your research" "maybe you should hire a lawyer since you can't understand what you read on a contract", flat out disrespectful. I hung up and immediately took action to secure our accounts and report this. Happened to google "Paula Parker, concord Financial Investments" and this site came up. It directed me to another report. Same lady, similar situation, same address, but different company name. I'm determined to get this person shut down and prosecuted! This is sick and very upsetting!
