Hotel and rooms (almost) clean, seems well maintained. Breakfast okay.
Staff dishonest.
I was verbally informed from the front desk staff, TWICE, that a $300 deposit would be needed for use of a debit card for 2 rooms. That said deposit would be refunded after 3-5 days, depending upon my bank that is the real culprit of holding my money.
My credit union informed me that they do not, in fact, hold any monies once electronically transmitted. I tend to believe my credit union, simply because my paycheck is always deposited a day early.
Today I contacted the hotel, and I have just been informed that the monies may be held up to 15 days. The Front Desk Manager condescendingly stated that I signed a paper acknowledging this fact. Given the number 8 small font on everything I was required to sign, it is quite possible I missed it, but doesn't excuse their misinformation.
Its my belief that this hotel holds deposits for its own financial gain, as an interest-free, short term loan.
