I was shopping for a Maine Coon Kitten. I found a kitten named oli and decided to buy it for my terminally ill wife as somthing to try and perk her up. She was really looking forward to it. I didn't know anything about this internet stuff so this Martin talked me through the process of using zelle.
I couldn't get it to work and offered a bank check which he refused. I am 70 years old and I guess pretty numb. He talked me through the process of using Google pay and that's how I sent the money. The same thing that happened to the person who reported the other cattery which I read about was exactly the same thing that happened to me and by the same guy I would say.
He blocked my calls so I called the police in Atlanta Georgia who said they couldn't even check to see if he did live where he said on his paper work. It was a civil thing they said so I should contact my police department.
I got a call after I was promised the cat would be delivered to my door by this same guy saing my cat was ready for shipment. I was on my way to church so I said I would look at the e-mail when I got home.
I waited so my wife would hear the good news I thought and it was the exact same thing. It was an e-mail saying I had to pay $1500.00 to get insurance on the kitten or It would be put in quarintine and I would be taken to court for pet abuse.
I called him and told him there would be no more money and that he better have my kitten. He wouldn't talk to me and just hung up and blocked my calls. Now every morning I go to his web site and tell him I am not going away and I would do whatever I could to get his web site shut down.
I hope someone can get this piece of XXXX and lock him up for fraud. I have a legal contract signrd by the both of us and all the e-mails from the first time I contacted him. I will not give up until he is brought to justice and I get my money back
These thieves need to be stopped! They not only take our money, but break our hearts. If you follow the phone numbers they use, it leads to many other websites where they do the same thing. Numbers are listed with AT&T. Some websites have been shut down. Why is Zelle letting them continuously get away with this?!! Most reputable banks are getting the money back. Mine did. Zelle dosen't want trouble from their biggest sponsors...not for the likes of these scammers. They need to shut them down NOW!!!!
I traced the scam phone number to several websites. It's an AT&T number. Some have been shut down. Why is Zelle still letting them get away with this?!! I know the big banks will reimburse you. Mine did. These banks will go after Zelle. I'm sure Zelle will go after scammers!!! It's sad that they not only steal our money, but mostly our hearts. They need to be caught, and locked away forever!!!!
Purchased 2 kittens for our family and just like the rest of the reports below, insurance scam came next. That threw up some serious red flags and tada, that's how we ended up here.
The NEW NAME FOR THE FRAUD SHIPPING COMPANY IS: "Snap Shipping Service"
and from the looks of it, they are taking advantage of far too many of us. Too bad that's not their real address or I'd spend that money on a plane ticket to make sure they never had the chance to scam anyone ever again (or at least give them something to remember).
Why is the Coly Cattery website still up? I feel terrible each day when I read more stories of people getting scammed! I did write a comment on Facebook and it posted to their site... now I don’t see original site up... but that website needs to come down! The lady still answers her phone when new victims call... she blocked the rest of us. Just don’t get how these people can’t be traced somehow?
I am so sorry you had such a tremendously terrible experience with these people, but I want to thank you for your review. My wife and I just discovered this "Cattery", also wanting to adopt Oli (we had no idea she had previously been spoken for), but something about the process just hasn't felt right to us. Before we sent them any money or traveled to their location (we live in southwest Florida, so Atlanta is quite a drive) we wanted to do some research. After finding what looked like a fairly sketchy house in Google Maps Street View, further digging produced this website and your review. We are now fully convinced this is a huge scam on the so-called cattery's part and are ceasing any further dealings with them. We could find absolutely no mention of them on the internet aside from their website and this review.
If anyone else finds this, please do not be fooled. One person has already been cheated by these crooks, and we only just narrowly escaped falling victim, ourselves. Again, we are sorry for your trouble, but we thank you for helping us avoid trouble, and hope we can also help someone us looking into these people.
I too had recent dealing with Coly Cattery - although I would not send them any money. No reputable cattery asks for 100% payment up front. If you live in a different state then the cattery and paid these people electronically, you should get the FBI involved as this can constitute wire fraud.
i was emailing with a woman. her email is [email protected]. Also was interested in Oli. She sent me oics. I now have a mimber to call her. I haven’tvyet hotten her name but it was a contact frim colycsttery. she wanted $800 for cstcand home delivery to myc. is this the same people? we are supposed to talk in morning
Horrible experience with these people. I’m out $800 and I don’t have a kitten named Terry. Very sketchy business. The owners are very responsive until you send the money then there’s no contact. The $800 I sent was for the kitty and shipping... all stated on my contract. However, the shipping company wanted another $1500 for insurance. The shipping company seemed very sketchy and I asked for a picture of the cat waiting for transport and they refused to do that. I now feel there was never a cat... very heartbroken and disgusted.
I was looking into buying a white kitten named Fred before seeing this thread. Everything was going exactly as everyone else has said with whoever this is asking for $800 to be wired for shipping and no deposit possible to hold for the day I'm moving. I'm extremely thankful for this thread and so sorry for those of you who found out the hard way. I hope this guy gets brought to justice one way or another.
These folks just offered to sell me the same cat for $800. They wanted to transact through Zelle in lieu of a credit card - bad news. their email address came up on a separate SCAM alert site.
scam, they didnt send Cat. I try to buy cat my little pea who is 3 years old. they got my money but they didnt send any cat. my child cry hysterically. dont buy anything
Paid for a maine coon kitten, 800 which was to include shipping. Next morning, via easyshipping, they sent an email demanding 1500 to be paid via bit coin to a private individual for insurance. Upon investigating with a police officer, found many who had been scammed. After i spoke with the woman from coly cattery, and explained what was happening, she refuses my calls and texts. I let her know i would pick up the kitten and she does not respond. So dissapointing.
This man is a thief. There are no cats. It’s a scam to take innocent victims money. I am also going to start a fraud investigation with the fbi and his police department in georgia. I had $800 stolen from that man and he has no idea who he is dealing with
after paying 800, and being told that included delivery, they tried to get me to pay insurance for delivery. sounded shady and found out that the delivery company is not licensed and they were trying to get me to pay from bit coin to western union. I did not pay the insurance and i have no idea how to get the money back that supposedly went to the breeder. She stopped responding to my calls and texts. her number is 912-417-6697
elitemaincoon and exoticpaws are run by the same people. we sent a deposit to have them hold our kitten and never heard from them again. drove 3 hours one way to the address they gave us and it was a fake address to a resident..... never send any non traceable money. they were very detailed, it was very believable.
Yes, they are a scam using pictures of kittens and puppies from legitimate websites. The managed to trace back the kitten I selected to a legitimate site located in Europe. The scammers had edited out the watermark.
Other websites they run: colycattery; samycattery; salydobies; golycattery; fungreatdanepups; solycattery ... and probably more. I found these via their phone number: 912-417-6697. Names associated are Harris Nkwenya (name of person receiving the money) and Martin Palma (the supposed Seller named on their contract).
I have a police report filed and a fraud report with my bank. It appears many of these websites have been taken down within the last week.
I looked at this cattery website today called ColyCattery because I love both Ragdolls and Maine Coon cats but much to my surprise could never find where the heck they are located!. I have enjoyed looking over many many cattery web sites within the south east USA area and they ALWAYS share very plainly where they are located, why they moved there and how they want their kittens to be a part of the family. This seemed all appropriate for Coly Cattery website until I wanted to see their address. They didn't have any address. I wad going to see about their phone number... Check what state the number was from. Does one have to do all this extra work just to figure this out when the owners should be proud of where they are located!? It was obvious to me something was off! So I googled the question...
"Where is Coly Cattery located?" and received not only the location of Atlanta, GA but all these bad reviews of scamming!! Not surprised with how they never gave their location in the first place. Of course these people need to be shut down and sent to jail. I bet they don't even own one of these cats for themselves!
If anyone has success getting help with this let us all know. I have filed a police report... filed a complaint with BBB and well as a scam report with BBB... yet these people still have an active website!!! So sorry they have struck again!
I filed a police report today... they are going to try to trace url from emails... I also have an outside company doing the same search... I know I’m out $800 but hope to shut these crooks down! If anyone has any luck please post!
My husband and I purchased Oli on the 21st of December. I’ve been too devastated to even write a post on here. I made a claim last month and my bank is taking the claim back because Zelle didn’t do anything wrong, apparently. Navy Federal is telling me to make a police report and go under investigation, which after reading these posts, won’t make a difference because no one can catch them. I wish $800 wasn’t a lot of money to me but it is. The bank advised me to take it as a learning experience. I’m amazed how cruel people are out there. My heart goes out to the other families who have experienced this tragedy. Satan owes each of you seven fold restitution. I’m getting an attorney and suing Zelle. With how many people are getting fraud and how many claims there have been Zelle is clearly in on it.
They stole my money and ruined Christmas for my 4 year old Daughter.
To add insult to injury I paid them 2 times bc zelle didn’t work the first time, then they asked for google pay. The worst thing is SunTrust my bank isn’t giving me any of my money back. As a victim of fraud to be treated like that by your bank, and all of that falls a close second to seeing the disappointment on my Daughter’s face Christmas morning
Outside company I hired found host for website... hopefully going to get shut down after being reported as a scam... also mentioned other 2 sites... cross your fingers.
Do a research internet search with the phone number and the name Martin Palma. These shysters were "selling" puppies and kittens. I found at least five. Currently, I find only two still up and running: https://www.golycattery.com/contact-us and https://www.solycattery.com/contact-us . DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE. They are part of a network of websites, promising kittens/puppies they do not have.
Has anyone had any luck with police to try to catch these people? I also lost $800 and Zella pay wouldn’t refund my money. Any new info would be great!
We are so disgusted, they are STILL getting away with this ridiculous scam. I spoke with a gentleman last night at 912-483-7149 (Savannah, GA) from Lovely Cuties ready to take our money over Zelle for 2 non-existent kittens. Thank goodness we slept on it and found all this information about their internet scam this morning. Why doesn’t the police get involved to permanently shut these scammers down? I’m so sorry these frauds took people’s money.
I was literally going to send $800 today for a Siberian cat. Thankfully I googled the email address: [email protected] and found this site. The poor English was something of a red flag for me, and the low shipping price from GA to CA. Always follow your gut!!
I'm here because someone just contacted me about being ripped off this week by these people. Now the website is soly cattery
Anyone here who is looking for a ragdoll kitten that will actually be real and you will get it, contact me please. This stuff makes me so mad and makes all the breeders look bad.
As a breeder, NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING UP FRONT IN FULL !!! You pay a small deposit and full payment is when it is delivered not before !!
I've been breeding for 28 years with ALL happy clients and healthy babies and they come with a one year health guarantee and I have 50 legitimate references at least.
I will FaceTime you and show you the real babies and parents and I don't ship but I will deliver myself for a fee. I'm sorry you've been all ripped off
Email [email protected] if you would like any information on real kittens
I am sooo glad I found all of these reviews. I had a feeling as when it seems to be too good to be true it is. I insisted on knowing their location and was told it was in Georgia. I have their email as [email protected]. Also the fact that their English was off caused me concern, no offense. Also they only added $100 for shipping and I know it’s usually always at least $300. Thank God I didn’t send any money.
Thank goodness for all these people warning about this place. I just found an adorable kitten named Terry that we were about to buy for $800 including shipping. Something made me think, I better do some research and find out of this is legit. They were calling themselves Soly Cattery and their website is still up. Everything sounded exactly like what this site is saying .So fortunately, I just saved myself from being scammed out of $800.. Someone needs to stop these people!
