I've been in real estate for about 10 years and have worked with hundreds of sub contractors. I hired Danyelle to paint a one bedroom loft. She quit halfway through the project and simply said "my work is done". It not only delayed the project it costed me twice the amount because I had to hire a new sub to complete the project. I hired her off the thumbtack app. My recommendation is to stay far away from her, she is not to be trusted.
I would like to tell the real story. I did not leave and not finish the job. In the middle of the job, he hired another contractor to come paint ONE wall over the weekend, and did not tell me he wanted to change the color of that wall at all. He went behind my back and had someone else paint it, and paid this person half of what my total estimate was. I did a lot of extra work in the space that I did not even charge him for; so when I found out that he went behind my back, I gave the job back to him. I subtracted the total of the work that I did for free from the balance of the work left to be done; and I still took a loss, but I was done working for such an unethical person. The fact that he has worked with hundreds of contractors should tell you something. He is a shady guy and even the people that were working for him then warned me that he was a total "tool". So I expect nothing less from an entitled millennial. All of the reviews on my Thumbtack page were nothing less than glowing, because I do quality work. However I do not have to continue to do work for someone who is going to go behind my back and hire someone else, this is my prerogative as a business owner.
