I purchased a car from this dealership 5/25/2018 after completing paperwork I was advised it would be a few days for them to get the car ready. The dealership seemed very busy so at this time that didn't raise a red flag. Just over a week later I was advised the car was ready to go. Upon ariving at the dealership I notied a headlight was out and the low washer fluid lights were both on. They said they had to order parts and asked if I could shedule an appointment. A bit annoyed, but didn't seem like anything serious so I agreed and was on my way with my new car. The car broke down half way home. The reduced power/engine fault light came on. I immediately pulled over and called the dealer, they advised me that as long as it was yellow it was safe to drive, it was the end of the day so bring it in the next day. Brought it back the next day, after sitting for 6 hours they told me this was the problem they had been fixing over the last week and they needed some more time.
They put me in a loaner car and sent me on my way again. Two weeks later they told me the car was all set and I could pick it up. I arrived, headlight still out, washer warning still on, but they said the rest was fixed. Not even 30 min into the drive home the reduced power/check engine light was on again. This time it was after the service department closed so they told me to call in the next day. I did and was advised to go to a different dealer near my house, they finnaly fixed the light and the washer fluid sensor and fixed a recall issue with the car. I figured great I am all set. It is now two weeks later, I am stranded nearly 2000 miles from home, I am told by the manufacturer that the reduced power/engine fault light that kept coming on was due to the engine failing. The repair bill is nearly $9000 and even though I am still within the warrenty period they are legally obligated to supply, the car qualifies as a lemon, and I paid thousands extra for there warrenty service I am being told they will not help and I am on my own. Yes I have plenty of legal recourse, however I have been stranded 2000 miles from home for over a week with all of the cost coming out of my own pocket and no help.
