Coconut Petals Day Spa Reviews

Purchased GroupOn offer for $55 package of three 90-minute massages from a "Coconut Petals Day Spa". The Cocounet Petals Day Spa website claims them to be located at 6251 Phillips Highway, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Used the website's appointments app to schedule 3 massages. Tried to call the phone number in ad (902-414-3558) in order to determine a specific suite address as the physical location is a tiny strip mall with a half-dozen businesses. Whe unable to reach the business by phone and hearing from other persons who had purchased package that it was a fraud, became suspicious. Checked the Duval County business records for either a DBA ("doing business as"), business tax, or business license registration for "Coconut Petals" and found no registrations. Now very suspicious, checked Florida Board of Massage Therapy (floridasmassagetherapy.gov) registration for the massage parlor business or any of the four alleged massage therapists which reservation app schedules. There was no massage parlor license shown as required by law and no massage therapist licenses found for the four alleged therapists. Likewise, the online website for Coconut Petals day spa fails to display a massage parlor license (MM-xxxxx) or a massage therapist license (MA-xxxxx). I submitted request for refund on GroupOn website and got unsatisfactory email back with link to read about the GroupOn Promise. Believe the local GroupOn has sold many hundreds of these Coconut Petal day spa "deals". BTW, this is last item I will ever buy from GroupOn. The only way to contact them is via email on their website, so if you have a problem they're near worthless in my opinion in a prompt and courteous resolution.

My wife and I purshased a Groupon for the Coconut Petals Day Spa. Three 90 minute massages for $55.00. Sounds great right? Maybe too great. We called the number to make an appontment and were directed to their website. Within 3 minutes we had the perfect appointment. Yesterday we both took off early from work and arrived early too. The address is to the entire building which has nine suites. Their website and the groupon doesn't specify. So we visited all nine of them. Midway down the line we were greeted with a handwritten sign which stated that if we were there for a Groupon, we had been scammed. We knocked on the door to find a hair salon. The ladies said that dozens of people had done the same thing as us. They had all been looking for the spa and so far, noone had found it! We completed our rounds of all the suites and heard the same story from all of the tennants. Some had been there for three years and never heard of them or any other spa in the area. We were duped. I emailed Groupon and they are looking into it. I just wanted to get this out there because I can't find anything good or bad on these folks. Something is fishy. Good luck! My anniversary massage is toast.

This place is running a scam on groupon. I scheduled an appointment for a 90 min massage through their website. I arrived 30 min early for my appointment. The address takes you to a location with several suites in the office park. When I looked around I did not see the name of this business anywhere. I walked around and found a note on one of the suites notifying me that this spa doesn't exist and it is a scam. When I call the phone number on their website it takes you to an answering machine saying they are with a client. It says that each time you call, no matter what time it is. No one will call you back. I wanted to share this so others don't get duped by this company. If you already have been contact groupon for a refund. They are already aware and investigating.

My mom purchased a massage package for the 2 of us on Groupon. ..sounded like an amazing deal. We were unable to reach anyone on the phone so we made appointments online...I met her there tonight after work and like other reports I've read we to experienced the same thing a building full of offices with a note on one do saying it was a scam. We are contacting Groupon tomorrow and if they don't refund our money we are going to the credit card company. ..Groupon needs to be more selective and do their research before allowing "companies " to use their name and site. I will not do business with Groupon again
