I received a call from a process server 2 days ago from a process server trying to reach my husband to get papers served to him.When I told her that she should have all the info already she told me to call a (888) number and she could only hold the papers for 2 hours .So stupid me ofcourse I did call being worried and all.
Finally the person I spoke to from Coastline & associates was Maria Perez.She told me all my husbands info and a credit card he owed from 2009. She also stated she can reduce the price for half if I payed within a month.I told her I would have to talk to my husband and see what happens.After I hung up I started searching and I came up with all these scam pages of this company.However I do not know what is real anymore.
A hour later I call the number again and I spoke to a manager Ray..He stated to me a lot of accurate info and companies that had the account before them but they kept selling it because they failed to collect from us. As he told me this info I kind of believed what he told me however this location does not exist( the suite # 477).They seem to change there name a lot and why would I be getting served when statue of limitations states we can not be sued for this debt.So somebody please help if you have had similar experience.
Wow. After researching and reading all these...I see Im not alone. Same exact thing happened yesterday. Process server calls and leaves message saying formal complaint against me. I call back and get a rude lady named Rita. Tells me I am already a defendant in court case against me for an 8 year old medical bill for 483.00. Told me if I didnt pay today, court proceedings would continue. They already had my SSN too which is scary. She asked for my credit card number and said I had to pay a minimum of 79.99 per month after I offered 50 and was told no. Thank God I didnt give my bank info. I am reporting them to the CA State Attorney's Office and I strongly suggest ev one else do the same as they need to be stopped and prosecuted. Cant believe I fell for this scam but they are pretty convincing. Just some FYI's for victims...Process Servers do not call your phone and leave messages...every state has statute of limitations on old debts...it is ILLEGAL to threaten to garnish your wages and take you to court. Please contact state authorities in CA so these criminals can be stopped.
Catherine I checked my voice mail and someone named Vivian Smith stated someone had filed a formal complaint against me. She had documentation that was scheduled to be delivered to my place of employment and have valid ID ready. If I or my attorney have any questions to call her client immediately. I didn't know who would file a complaint on me so I called. A man answered the phone and sent me to a lady who threatened to take me to court, garnish my wages for a lot more than what is owed or I could just settle for the large amount due. This was a bill that was placed in 2007. They had all my information. Savannah GA
I was contacted 2/1/2016 with a threatening phone call that papers were being sent to my job. .So I returned the call and spoke with Joe Henderson with Coastline & Associates aka PPM /prodigy portfolio management about a credit card debt. They had all of my info and I thought this was weird. .so i entertained this transaction with Joe Henderson. I later called the City of Irvine to verify this business. .it doesn't exist people! !! Soooooooooo I'm in the process of getting the BBB and the Feds involved because what they're trying to collect from me is not on my credit report.

I'm in the same situation. They called my mom's house, have no idea how they got that number.
I spoke with Maria Perez, she is very demanding and intimidating.
She made me feel pressured to make payment arrangements and threatened that my wages would be garnished if I didn't.
I've been trying to research this company and seems that they scam people for money.
I think I'll wait to be served.
