In March, I contacted Bonnie to redo an ottoman. She sent the price and asked for agreement in writing. I consented and arranged drop off of the item. In April, I dropped off my ottoman to be reupholstered by Bonnie. She informed me she was finishing some jobs so she would t get to it right away, which was fine. In mid-May, I reached out to ask how things were going. She stated she still hadn’t got to it but would start soon.
In early June, she texted me and stated she was in the shop picking fabrics and working on the ottoman. She asked for photos of the space, which were promptly sent. In early July, she texted me saying she could no longer do the project and would deliver the ottoman to me. I gave her my address and heard nothing for 3 weeks. I texted her and asked when I could expect her to drop off the ottoman. She stated she couldn’t do it because I loved too far away (actually, 25 minutes) but would deliver in the city. I said that was fine, she could drop it off at my mother’s house, which is in the city.
She then proceeded to go on a rant about how terrible her life has been since Covid and how I couldn’t possibly understand. She then backtracked and said she wouldn’t deliver the item at all. This "company” has zero business sense and poor practices. The owner, Bonnie, is completely unprofessional and one of the rudest people I have ever worked with.
