I purchased an antique pickup truck that was originally used by a fire department. I bought it to restore and add to my antique fire truck collection. Frank knight saw a video of me rescuing the truck and hounded me about buying it, even though I was not trying to sell it. I finally agreed to sell it because he assured me that he would pay me to do a full restoration on it after I completed building my new shop. As soon as I sent him the title, he advised me that he was sending a shipper to get the truck and haul it from Oregon to his business in Chicago. I had no choice but to let him take the truck since it was legally his. I did assist with loading it onto the shipper's trailer, but I did it voluntarily, it was not "By Force". Shortly after getting the truck, Frank insisted that I "Crate-up" and ship the parts that he had purchased from me for the trucks restoration. The parts included a replacement cab and a complete engine. These are parts that I was supposed to be paid to install on the truck during the restoration, and I never agreed to pay to ship them, which is going to be very expensive. He has repeatedly sent me emails with fowl language insisting that I do things I never agreed to do and threatening to ruin my reputation if I didn't do exactly as he insists. He accused me of not having the parts he purchased. I sent him detailed photos of each part and then he told me he didn't need all of them anymore and sent me a revised list of which ones he still wanted. I offered to give him a complete refund for the truck and parts, which he agreed to, but then got nasty again when I asked him to make a quick video showing me he still has the truck and title. At this point, all I can tell him is that he has not been "Ripped-Off" or "Scammed". I have done everything I agreed to do that I possibly can. Your parts are here. Send someone to get them or return my truck. I am not going to be manipulated into treating you like a Burger King customer...You can't have everything "Your Way".
I purchased a classic truck from rick and he was supposed to get it running, I worked with rick trying to get him to start working on my truck but he only kept pushing for more money. I finally by force got my truck but I never received the paint and parts and labor I was promised. I'm out approximately $6800.
Frank Bought a truck from me that I was not even trying to sell. It was a very special antique truck originally purchased by a fire department that I purchased to be part of a fire engine collection I am putting together. He hounded me about the truck and I agreed to sell it to him because he assured me that he would pay me to do a complete restoration on it after I completed building my new shop. As soon as I sent him the title to the truck, he informed me that he was sending a shipper to pick it up and I suspect he had a buyer for it. He did not get his truck by "Force" since I actually made a video of me helping load the vehicle up for transport (which I was not obligated to do). He then insisted that I crate up and ship the parts he purchased for the truck's restoration. One of the parts he purchased from me is a replacement cab, which is very large and heavy, along with a complete engine. I never agreed to "Crate-up" or ship his parts...Our agreement was for me to install the parts on the truck before it was shipped....something I was supposed to be paid to do. I have his parts...all of them and have repeatedly told Frank that he is welcome to come get them, or send a shipper to pick them up. I also offered to give him a complete refund for the truck and parts, but he refuses to provide me with proof that he actually still owns the truck. He is also very mean and nasty, sending me emails with very fowl language, which does not motivate me to go out of my way to perform extra services for him which I never agreed to. He lives in Chicago and I am in Oregon, so shipping an 8-foot cube that weighs over a thousand pounds is not a small expense. I do have every part he purchased, I have sent him detailed photos of every part, and he is more than welcome to come pick them up, or send a shipper to pick them up. In hindsight, I do regret ever agreeing to sell Frank my truck. I think it was better off here with me.
