On a 1960s fiber glass door that I told you we shouldn't do and you wanted it anyway
As I remember you had a fiber glass coated door and I told you before we started we might not be able to give that faux wood look you are looking for. You agreed to that and as I put our prime coat on you seen the door has a lot of hair on it from the fiber glass I had applied the coat of grain after that. I then stopped after I seen it did not look good. Later that day you called me and said why didn't we finish the door and I told you that we were not able to get that look you wanted. You responded back to me and said yes that what I want so we went ahead the next day and finished it for you as I told you I was not sure how the faux coating would hold. So again we are not at fault and I apologize for you door but there was not a warranty issued. We have done over 100 doors here In lake Havasu in the faux wood look and all of them seem to be wonderful and holding. Maybe you should have called me so I could have came and took a look and se what issue there was rather then going out and putting us on the spot like this very professional
From the start when I came out to bid this door I couldn't forget it the worst door I have ever come across. Jack asked to have it faux finished and I said I was not sure I was able to dude to the de hairing of the fiberglass. I suggested for him to get a new door. That was not in the budget so I said ok I will se what I can do but no promises that it will look good. Following day I went and put a prime coat on the door I knew the it was not going to work the fiber glass was just hairing all over and did not look good so after that dried I even put a sample of out faux finish wood look on and I left it and left for the day as jack was not home. Later that day he called and said hey what's going on I said I left you a same to see the door he's says yeah why didn't you finish it I like it I told him all the reasons and he said I don't care go ahead and do it get it done ok will do and so I did along with a. I warranty it was under his own understanding that he knew it might not last so why he had to come on here and say it like we messed up his door is incorrect. We have over a 100 faux finished garage doors in Havasu and this is the only door that came up which is not even a failure it's a out dated 1960s door get in today's day in age and upgrade
