After performing service for then Valuation Vision now known as Clarocity Valuation Services, I refused to do any other business with them. When they first sent me a report request, I now know why they accepted the bid I gave them. It appears no one else will do business with them as well.
They go after new people in the REO field in order to take advantage of not having to pay them. However due to my persistence with them I was eventually paid several months after promise. As frusting as this was I figured I would not do any other work for them since they would lie to me on a weekly basis as to when I would be paid. Now fast forward 2 years later I start receive new orders from Clarocity, for them to only say I have reached my order limit. I proceeded to call in to find out about this company as I had not made the connection until this phone call and the guy who ansered was evasive to say the least. Did stay professional however and upon just asking why am I getting these if you don't want me to do the work or I'm restricted. He said he would correct it and I asked to have my information removed and can only assume he didn't. I tried to log in 20 min later and all of it was still there.
Now in most cases this would not cause me to write a report. However, I decided to review the information in the system and discovered that someone in there office had signed the 1099 for me which i have never received from them. There is no document in my 50 years of existance that is even close to this signature. Furthermore, I beleive this constitues fraud on a federal document. I have sent it over to the IRS prior to writing this since they have a large office here in Denver and I am reaching out to a couple of the attorney's I know. This is one of the most unreputable group of peolpe I have had the misfortune of dealing with. I printed 2 copies for the authorities and will see what the recourse is for their deciept.
I have worked for this company for about 6 months. They were paying on time twice a month via direct deposit. I noticed a couple of orders were past 30 days and have been reaching out to them with no response for a week. They appear to have gone dark, and we know what that means! I started looking on the web for other instances of recent non-payment and found many similar issues of non-payment.
I have now had two of my appraisers complete appraisal reports for this AMC and we have yet to recieve payment for completed, accepted reports. They were performed in accordance with the Scope of Work outlined in the Engagement Letter. Both were performed professionally and timely and without error.
Payment is now over 30 days late. This is highly unusual in our industry and having come across another appraisers recently submitted report, I am now being made aware of the history of this company. Our office has performed appraisals for Valued Veterans, LLC for several years now and have never once had a problem with remittals and I am just learning about the payment history of this company Valuation Vision who subposedly purchased Valued Veterans. I don't know what is going on here but we need to paid promptly for services.
