It all started when I didn't remember some smaller transactions made onto my account when I (stupidly) ordered a small trial sample after completing a short Amazon survey. After the survey they offered me a "free" gift, I just needed to pay for shipping *MISTAKE* I totaled up to about $5. I genuinely didn't think twice...not even when the product never showed up. Fast forward about a month later, I see that my bank account has gone astronomically negative because of two transactions totaling $190. Not remembering my stupid mistake a month prior, I called my bank and filed a fraudulent transaction report and was given a provisional credit. About a month later received a letter from my bank saying that the Clarionfacecream had disputed my claim and I had lost the dispute. Realizing the mistake I had make several months back (ordering the $5 "free" gift and paying for shipping). I called my bank immediately, unable to clear it up on their end they suggested I call the company directly. The first woman I talked to was extremely unhelpful and lied to me saying that the bank had dropped the dispute. After calling the financial investigator at my bank and realizing she flat out lied to me, I called back and spoke to someone who talked to their supervisor and told me I shouldn't have to worry because I was refunded the money, he even gave me an authorization code! (Thank you Marcus!...or so I thought). I told him about the dispute with my bank and he asked me to call back with my financial adviser to get things sorted out. I called my adviser, and called the number back. Only to be told that they were unable to transfer calls (REALLY??). Then I proceeded to be talked over and yelled at by an abominably rude customer service rep (Jordan) who told me I lost the right to a refund the second my bank filed the dispute. Even after I repeatedly asked her to forward me along to Marcus, or Marcus's Supervisor and nothing. I spoke with her Supervisor, who wasn't as much of an unmitigated a*s as she was but still completely useless. I called several others, at least ten separate customer service reps and their supervisors to get absolutely nowhere. In fact, the last person I had the displeasure of talking to, I asked what it was I was paying $190 for, if they couldn't refund me my money and why hadn't I received ANY product. She told me that by not contacting them to cancel before the 14 day trial, I WAS AGREEING TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE ITEMS ALREADY SENT AND PAID FOR...WHAT?!
Lesson learned, Clarion and their affiliates are scammers...don't fall for it!
Merry Christmas from Clarionfacecream/Beautyface thanks for the gift of going negative in my account for the Holidays.
