Citywide Lending Group (Rob Peeler and Stuart Anderson) were introduced to us by Northstar (Tom Ellis and Yasuo Oda) to provide project financing for a development in Tomball, Tx north of Houston, Tx.
We paid in excess of $50,000 in required advance fees that were to be escrowed and were to be refundable if the loan did not fund. After years of promises, no loan was ever made and after many requests, our fees were never returned.
Bottom line, these guys took many thousands of dollars from us and othere people promising finiancing, some of which I have connected with and discussed our various situations. To my knowledge, none of these individual groups has ever recieved any financing nor has any of their fees been returned.
These people lived well off of our so called refundable fees. They were never escrowed as the agreements said but instead the money was spent by Ctitywide and North Star and was not refunded as agreed.
It is my understanding that the statute of limitation laws have been revised extending the time that one can be prosecuted for this type of fraud. We will now be joining any of the other groups that are interested to determine what civil and/or criminal actions can be taken to recover our funds. We welcome others that have had a similar experinece to contact us to discuss joing us in the process.
I had a mortgage with Wells Fargo, after talking with Daryl Schafer i decided to refinance with him and citywide mortgage. Daryl Schafer told me that i could save over $300 a month. After doing everything Daryl Schafer told me to do, sending all information and paying over $5000.00 to Daryl Schafer. MY BIG savings that i received was $32 a month. Daryl Schafer and his partner William Palzkill are complete lies and thief. Whenever I call I get a different story. Funny how when they were selling me on this great refinance mortgage i was going to save BIG. Now after they have my money i get almost thing. They lied to me and stole from my family I would strongly suggest staying away from Daryl Schafer, William Palzkill, and anyone in their office. They may work for a large lender, but they act like thieves!
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I have had nothing but problems getting the loand closed. I signed documents and escrowed closed on May 15, 2015. It was not what was promised, paperwork was incorrectly submitted (loan application filled out incorrectly), and the loan terms were not what was promised. It is now over 3 monhs later and the loan has still not benn sold to an investor. I am paying my payment to the mortgage broker. I am not getting an escrow statement and it is not showing up on my credit. The company keeps coming back to us asking for addtional information. They even went so far as to tell my tax accountant to file my taxes so that they could get addtional information. I am trying to refinace and apply for some programs on my house and can not do it because my loan is not showing up on my credit.
I have tried to file a complaint to the company and get no resoluation. They told me I was being unreasonable. It is best to not do business with these people.
