So my husband and I needed new cell service. We went to this location and were helped by a very nice lady. My husband was going to use the phone he already had but I had to get a phone. She helped me pick one out and explained the plans.

We chose a plan and she rang us up. It came to about $167. My husband asked her since the service at our home isnt the greatest, if we could bring back the phone and cancel. She told us if we didnt get service to come back within 7 days and we could either cancel or she could activate wifi calling on our phones for $6.

We get home and sure enough no service. So we go back the next day to activate wifi service and this time there was a young man there. When we told him what the lady had told us he got annoyed and said they needed to stop telling people that becuase if the phone doesnt have wifi calling it won't work. He checked his phone and it didnt have a button to activate it.

So, my husband decided to pick out a new phone. He chooses one and we head back to the counter. He rings us up and it came to $120. He asked why so much and the man explained that it was for the phone cost, which had a main-in rebate. Activation fee and a months service. My husband asked him why we had to pay another months service if we had just paid it the day before. He said you have to come back the same day. WE told him the lady had told us we had seven days. He just stared at us. Literraly just stared at us. Then my husband said why can't you just wave the monthly service fee since we had just paid it hte day before. He said he would call his boss and talk to him. Then told us he would call us and let us know what he said. He never called us.

The next morning we head back over there. Now keep in mind, every trip is a 30 mile trip for us. So, for the thrid time we head back there. In hindsight we should have just called but we thought surely the monthly fee would be waived since we had just paid it. We walk in and it's the same man from the day before.

We approach the counter and again, he's just staring at us. So, my husband asks what his boss said. He replies, "he said we can't give you a creidt." So my husband asks, "So, I'm out my phone and my money for nothing?" He replies, "yeah." with a smirk on his face. I swear he thought it was funny. There was no I"m sorry. Nothing.

We didnt expect to get the activation fee waived. We intended on getting another phone for my husband. All we wanted was to not have to pay another months service since it had been less than 24 hours since we had paid it. He then said he cancelled my husbands phone but we still couldnt get the money back. He said it wouldnt be turned off for five days.

I have never been treated so poorly by a company in my life. The service from this young man was bad enough but when he got that little smirk on his face it really pissed me off.

So, when we got home, I called MetroPCS directly. The woman on the phone was very nice. She apologized but explained that the stores were franchises so she couldnt give us a credit. However, she talked with her surpervisor and managed to get us a credit for $15 plus activate wifi calling for fee on both phone. I told her the man said he cancelled my husbands phone. She said it shows as active and saw no cancellation. So eitehr he was lying to us or it just wasnt showing yet. We'll know by the end of next week if my husbands phone isnt working.

If they continue to treat customers like this, this store won't be around long. That's probably not a bad thing.
