Christina Pendleton & Associates Reviews
Do not even think approach these people for help in a speeding case and if I could give 0 stars I would. You are better off defending yourself and even if you lose you will come out ahead. I went to them to protect my driving record and my insurance rates having newly returned to the country after fighting the war on terror for 8 years, I figured my service to the country would mean something to the law firm and the judge. I went to them after they mailed me the mailer I should have tossed in the trash.
The law firm repeatedly reached out to me for payment, drivers record, and vehicle calibration all at my own costs in addition to letting me know I'd need to take drivers improvement at some point.
At no point other than the initial contact was the driving school completion ever mentioned. I am aware that judges can and do give lighter sentences yet impose heavier sentences if the course is not completed within a certain time frame after the hearing.
The case was continued because the law firm had a scheduling conflict with the hearing date. Not hearing anything about the driving class completion an balancing 12 hour work days, I figured the drivers school completion was not an issues.
On the day of the hearing, I was requested the completion certificate to which I could not provide and didn't even have 2 hours to try to complete it before the 8-9am hearing.
To my shock and to the risk of my top secret clearance, the law firm basically conceded defeat without any defense. I was given the excuse that they got the absolute worst judge for speeding court. The lawyers basically used a once in a several years time period get out of jail free and still had the verdict come back from the worst possible judge to take such a strategy as guilty thereby nullify the pleading.
To add insult to injury, when I called in disbelief, I was told that the continuance should have given me time to complete the class that I was never informed was key in the defense. As if it was my fault when so much attention was given to the payment when the firm asked me to pay their $200 fee no less than 3 times when I paid it within 5 minutes of the first request. In addition, because they feel "sorry" they didn't follow up with me on the driving course, they are willing to appeal my case for the reduced price of $300.
Who in their right mind would take this deal? All I'm saying is if you see their mailer promising any semblance of a defense vote with your dollars elsewhere. Everything written here is factual as it happened. I have no idea how they got the ratings they are displaying. Take there $200 fee and apply it to your $180 fine if your case is anything close to 74 in a 55.
