I subscribed on or around 4/17/2022 to Christian Mingle to review their site. The same day I changed my mind and canceled my subscription. At that time, I received confirmation of my cancellation stating that I could renew at anytime before my month ended. This was even before they could approve my profile.
The company continued to send "match" emails during that month, and when the month ended they stopped (due to cancellation) BUT drafted another payment after that. The representative, Andy, said I did not cancel which is a lie. This is a scam.
I don't want to sign back into their site and I am afraid they will continue to keep taking unauthorized payments. I will contact my bank and legal counsel.
First of all women should never pay to meet a man. Even worse they should not pay to meet men that dont exist. I endured a month of "chatting" with scammers pretending to be real men with real photos and profiles and hackers with whom the site is well aware they have NO security and are always being hacked. I was told that many of the so called memebers are actually paid to string women along to try and legitimize the fact that this site is just an absolute scam.
The men are very crafty, play the game and then in a very non chalant manner just disappear and oh well it didnt work out. I contacted customer service on numerous occasians to refund my money and let them know I had been conned by a hacker and all they offer are petty excuses or pacify you with "we have deleted that members profile" and yet the deception never ends.
Do not waste your time or money on Christian Mingle, its just another money making scam with zero customer service contact.... ever .......and you literally pay to get nothing but insult and injury. This site is makking a mockery of the people are are foolish enough to think they are going to meet anyone different then if they go to church or get on social media for free and take thier chances! Demonic site run by evil people.
While having a conversation with someone, I went back to site after receiving a response but found myself having to log back in. Only, my email wouldn't work. I tried all my emails and searched all folders trying to figure out what happened. I emailed them twice, but only received an automated response. Deep within my spam folder I found a notification of suspension. For what? I have no idea.
Charge to renew subscription without asking. Refuses to refund the amount when requested. You would think twith a Name like Christian Mingle, they would act more Christian about things and would not setup automatic refunds, and also would refund the money when acked, Not very Christian behavior at all - more like a RIPOFF ARTIST!!!!
Here is their response, but the least expense

Hi Bill‍,
Thanks for your message. I am truly sorry to that you did not intend to renew your paid subscription with us.
While you are not eligible for a full refund, you do have the option of changing your plan. You will need to login through your mobile browser, or a computer, you will not be able to follow the included steps from the mobile app. When changing your plan, we will issue a full refund for the original purchase you made, and you will see a new charge for the full amount of the new plan you choose.
In order to adjust your subscription length, you will click on the thumbnail of your profile photo in the upper right corner of your screen and choose ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then MANAGE SUBSCRIPTION and CHANGE PLAN. If you are eligible to change your plan, your options will be displayed.
However, keep in mind that our multi-month payment requires fewer transaction fees on our end and allows us to offer the discounted price. These packages reflect terrific savings over the regular monthly rate.
I made sure that automatic renewal was stopped on your subscription, and if you do not make any further changes, it will expire as scheduled on July 6, 2019.
Please keep in mind that if you do downgrade, the site will see this as a new purchase with automatic renewal attached, so you will need to make sure automatic renewal is stopped once more if you do not wish to be charged again.
Please let us know if we can offer further assistance!
I canceled after only a few days. They still charged my card. I stopped auto pay just as stated in the instructions but they charged my card the next month too. There's no clear recourse i have to this and as you see the reviews they do not make themselves available much less accessable. I have to cancel the card to ensure they don't bill again.
This site is not christian. I believe the rebuttals you see on this yscamare false and generated by people prefiting from the phony website.
In June 2016 I subscribed to ChristianMingle for one month, and then I canceled my membership in July. I received no confirmation email. In July, August, and September I was billed for each month. I just noticed the charges in my bank account, because I was never notified by Christian Mingle that I was being billed again. I am very angry, because this is a repeat of the situation the last time I used the website 2 years ago. I did NOT give the site permission to take 3-months-worth of membership charges (about $100) from me. I was billed after I canceled my membership. I just emailed customer service, asking how long it takes to process a cancelation... I cannot believe they are stealing my money again. I cannot afford this. This is a corrupt business and they need to be sued! One Google search will show that hundreds of people have been ripped off the same way by ChristianMingle. How is this still happening?! Something needs to be done and we all need our money back.
