This is a strong warning to white men/black women couples who contemplate patronizing the Chophouse in RTP, NC. The environment is unfriendly toward black women who enter with white men, and when a racially-offensive incident was reported to corporate, that individual inferred that I was lying. She also suggested that the racial discrimination of which I was victim did not actually occur and that no Chophouse employee could ever commit such a heinous act due to the number of cooks working at the establishment. This woman also asked if I had noticed how many black people were working out back in the field/kitchen. How could anyone notice this without actually walking into the kitchen? Why would anyone say something so ignorant? This was the most typical and racist reaction to racism that anyone could allow to seap out of their disgusting mouth. Christa Hahn's response was the same as hearing a white person accused of racism say, "I'm not racist, my best friend is black." Every black person is familiar with this meme. Christa Hahn ever got angry when I refused to see things her way, through her white privileged eyes. READ ON.
In this day in age of Trumpism, people like Christa Hahn need to be dealth with head on and not with kid gloves. I am taking this matter further and Christa et.al will not like it. In addition, this incident has been posted on various social media outlets including Twitter and Youtube. I am going to see that this incident goes viral over the Internet.

The purpose of this email message is to express my concern over the service in which I received on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
Between 5:30-8:30 pm, my boyfriend and I were customers at the Chophouse bar located in RTP, North Carolina and experienced treatment which was disparaging and inferior. Specifically, my boyfriend, who is white, was already present when I arrived and had a glass of red wine. However, I arrived a short time later and sat for 15 minutes, waved my arms around in order to gain the attention of a bartender. When my presence was finally acknowledged, a bartender gave a very lame and ridiculous excuse for ignoring me (a paying, long-time customer). I walked in and sat next to my boyfriend; no hiding as was suggested.
Subsequent to finally receiving service, a white couple arrived at the bar and were immediately met with very friendly service. In other words, they did not have to ask for a drink. This is the second time in 60 days that my boyfriend and I have been subjected to disparaging treatment while dining at the Chophouse and I find this pattern of behavior extremely disturbing. There is no reason why an African American woman should be treated any different than any customer at that restaurant and bar. If employees at the Chophouse have an issue serving people who do not look like themselves, perhaps they are in the wrong line of work. African Americans comprise of 30 percent of the population in the Triangle, and we are not going anywhere; this means that some people had better get used to serving us in public places. Otherwise, the consequences are costly.
I appreciate the opportunity to express my concern over worker behavior towards other races.

I am sorry to hear about your experience at the Capital City Chop House last evening. I was quite shocked by what you were detailing as to how you felt you had been treated.
I spoke to the General Manager of the restaurant this morning and she spoke to one of the two bartenders who was working last night. He was both taken aback and disappointed to hear your comments since you had spent so much time at the bar; he felt as if you and your boyfriend were having a nice evening engaging with each other as well as with the bartenders on duty.
As to saying you waited 15 minutes for a drink and were “waving your arms”; I am curious if both bartenders were behind the bar while this was happening. From where you were seated; it is almost impossible to imagine how they would not have noticed you sitting around the 4th barstool on an evening where the bar was not very busy. Can you please elaborate further what else the bartenders did that was disgraceful?
Since you were at the restaurant for such a long period of time and say this has happened to you in the past 60 days as well; I really wish you would have brought this to the attention of the management staff. I can personally say I have worked for this company for 23+ years and this is one of the few times I have ever heard that our staff has made anyone feel uncomfortable based on their race. I am not sure if you noticed that half of our staff is African American( Including 50% of the Management Team) and at least half of our guests last night were African American celebrating NC Central homecoming.
We understand the financial influence all races contribute to the economy; but for you to point out that African Americans comprise 30 percent of the population in the Triangle are you are not going anywhere; and we should get used to serving you in public; is truly offensive as well. We are fully aware the success of our company is founded on the patronage of guests who are of all races and nationalities- we don’t take that lightly.
